Phonics of letters EFGH

Content:Phonics of letters EFGH Aims: (Knowledge) By the end of this lesson, students will be able to read the letters of e.f.g.h and say the sounds of them. (Skills) By the end of this lesson, students will be able to say greetings to teachers and classmates. (Affection) Develop students’ interest in English.

Key Points: 1. Read the letters of e.f.g.h and say the sounds of them. 2. To say greetings to teachers and classmates. Difficulties:

Multi-media and word cards.

Procedure Step 1. Warm up and lead-in 1.

Daily greetings 2.

Warming up:T guides Ss to enjoy a song T: Boys and girls, do you like songs? Let’s enjoy a song. You can sing with it!

3. Free talk:T has a free talk with Ss about our English lessons, asking:What can we do in an English lesson?Ss can give some answers: Sing songs,play games, read books... T:What can we do in an English lesson?

Ss:Sing songs T:Yes,we can sing songs in English lessons,let’s sing a song and dance with it. Ss enjoy a song about greetings and dance with it. T:What else can we do in English lessons? Ss:Play games,dance,read rhymes...

T should conclude the topic: English is fun. We like English. Let’s go to the phonic land and have fun in it! 【设计意图】导入部分给学生欣赏自然拼读的视频,知道每个字母的发音是什么。视频结束后,问孩子们在英语课上可以做什么,得到的答案都是可以玩游戏,听歌,看视频,读故事,调动学生的气氛,让学生感受到学习英语的快乐。

4.T takes Ss to the phonics land and on the way, Ss meet some letters and words. A.First, Ss see an apple tree and T guides Ss to say the word:apple and say the beginning letter of apple. T guides Ss to say more words which begin with the letter a and review the sound of letter and the chant of letter a.

B. T guides Ss to review the letters b,c,d and say the chants of them.

5.T takes Ss to the phonics land and guides Ss to sing the song of the sound of a.b.c.d to open the gate.

【设计意图】在正式教授e,f,g,h四个字母的发音之前,先通过情境的一部分,复习字母a,b,c,d的发音和chant。最后通过一首歌曲,复习a,b,c,d的发音和chant,然后进入到Phonics Land,由旧知引出下面的新知:字母e,f,g,h的发音。

Step2.Presentation&Practice 1.T guides Ss to learn the letter Ee and distinguish the sound of letter from the sound of letter a. T:Now, let’s get into the phonics land. This is phonics garden. There are so many letter flowers in it. Do you know which letter follows letter Dd?

Ss: Ee(Teach - Ee)(pay attention to the pronunciation) T:Let’s say hello to letter e. Ss say hello to letter e but there is no reply. T:You should say the right sound of letter e, and then it will come out.

Ss say the sound of letter e. 【设计意图】在学习字母和字母发音的过程中,学生经常会把a的短元音发音/æ/和字母e的短元音发音/e/ 搞混,所以这里特意设置一个让学生自己发音把字母e叫出来的环节,让学生感受字母e的真正发音。

T:Letter e has many family members, can you help it find his family members? Ss listen to the audio and find the words which begin with letter e. Audio:Hello, my name is elf,/e//e/ elf.(apple,elephant,alligator,apple,egg) Ss find the words begin with letter e, egg,elf, elephant and say the chant of it.

【设计意图】通过让学生自己听音频,把对应字母发音的图片归类的设计,让学生更加清楚的辨别字母a和字母e的短元音发音。

2.T takes Ss to phonics farm and learn the sounds of letters f,g,h. Ss say the chants of letter f,g and sing the song of letter h. A.Letter-f

T:OK,let’s go to the phonics farm, which letter flower can you see on the farm? Ss:F! T: And what is f for?Look, where are we now? Ss: On the farm! T: Yes, we are on the farm, /f/ /f/ farm. F is for... Ss:Farm! T:Yes, f is for farm, /f//f/ farm. Let’s chant together. T guides Ss to learn another two chants about letter f.

F is for fish,/f//f/ fish. F is for flower,/f//f/ flower.

At last, T guides Ss to say the chant about f together.

B.

Letter-g There are three chants about letter g. (1)

G is for goat,/g//g/ goat. T plays a audio of the goat and lets Ss guess, what is that? (2)

G is for girl, /g//g/ girl. (3)G is for gift, /g//g/ gift. T asks Ss what is that in the girl’s hand? Ss will answer it’s a gift.

At last, T guides Ss to say the chant about f together.

C.

Letter-h (1)

What is that? It’s a hen.

T:What is the first letter of the word-hen? Ss: H. T: Yes, and what is letter h for? Ss: H is for hen, /h//h/ hen. (2)T asks a question:Where is the hen? And guides Ss to answer the question:In front of the house.

Chant:H is for house, /h//h/ house (3)What kind of dog doesn't bite or bark? hot dog Chant:H is for hot dog, /h//h/ hot dog (4)Sing the song about letter h.

Step 3.Conclusion&Consolidation 1.T guides Ss to play a game about saying the sounds of the words. For example, Ss see the picture of egg, they say /e//e/ egg. 2.T guides Ss to finish a task. Ss listen to the audio of some words and put the stickers on the task paper.

【设计意图】听录音里的单词的声音,让学生把对应的单词贴在下面的字母房子里面,巩固刚刚学习的字母e,f,g,h的发音。即使图片里面的单词没有学过也没有关系,学生可以对这些新单词的发音进行感知,熟悉,甚至用自然拼读的方法进行模仿跟读。

Step 4. Homework T assigns homework for students:
