Lesson9 When is it? 教学目标：

1、学生能够识别、理解和运用句子When is it? 2、学生能够运用序数词正确说出6个主要节日的日期（新年、春节、国际劳动节、儿童节、教师节、国庆节）

教学重难点：

1、序数词日期的正确正确表达

教学准备：

ppt 序数词poster 节日单词卡片、日期卡片

教学过程：

Step1 warming up 1、Greeting. “Hello! Boys and girls. How are you?”

2、“What are these?””How many months are there? January is the... first. May is the ... fifth.””Let’s read. ... Let’s play a bomb game,”出示序数词的poster，把炸弹放在哪个单词上，不读哪个单词。

3、Sing a song. “Twelve months”

”Let’s sing a song.”

4、Play a game. 手指个数代表一个月份，学生快速反应，说出相应月份。

5、Free talk “What’s your favourite month?”,”Why?”

Step2 New class 1、Lead in. 从上面讨论喜欢月份的原因，有的学生会说自己的生日在该月份而导入.

2、学习疑问词when?

When is your birthday?翻出台历，找出她生日的一天，学生体会When的意思和具体日期的说法。

写板书

When is （多问几组，熟悉日期的说法）

把今天学习的日期出示出来，进行练习。

3、学习节日When is China’s birthday，our country’s birthday?

学生猜测，出示ppt十月份的挂历，圈出十月一日。

Ppt出示国庆节的图片，”It is October the first, It’s National Day.”

练习National day(贴在黑板上)

听音模仿，”When is National Day? October the first.”

练习几组问答。

4、其他节日

“Here are some other holidays. Do you know when it is?”五个节日放在一个幻灯片里，学生用汉语英语回答都可以。（就真实的内容进行会话，激发学生的表达欲望）

就学生选择的节日，点开展示大图，然后学生说一说这个节日及日期

课文内容一步步出现，节日、日期。并在黑板上完成板书(变换师生、生生对话练习)。

January the first is New Year’s Day. When is the Spring Festival? It is in January or February. International Workers’ Day is May the first.

This is Children’s Day. It is June the first. Teachers’ Day is September the tenth. 比如：New Year’s Day

学生说这是元旦，一月一号。拿出台历来，让学生找出这个日期，然后用英语说出这一天。

“When is it? It is January the first. It is the first day of the year, it’s New Year’s Day.”(可以开玩笑,指着耳朵说the new year is not the new ear. It’s 2018.) 操练节日

New Year’s Day 教师问“When is New Year’s Day?”把节日卡片贴在黑板上，找学生回答并完成板书。

当说到Children’s Day时，指着图片上的小孩介绍，”They are children, you are children, too.”

当说到International Workers’ Day，we also call it”May Day”

其中三个简单的节日，学生能够很快得会说，所以只进行跟读模仿。

International Workers’ Day，利用ppt对单词的拼读做了一些处理，从national Day，变化加入inter，worker，然后变成International Workers’ Day the Spring Festival，分音节在ppt中做展示，使学生更快更好地读出这个节日单词。

Step 3 Read the text 学生自己读课文，将所学内容内化吸收，扫除障碍。

Step 4 Match 把板书上的节日接下来，请同学们说一说，练习节日的说法,把学生不太会的节日练习一下。“Can you read? What’s this?”

找学生上前来，学生们一起问问题，When is____, 上来的学生回答问题。”When is

Can you answer my question and stick it there?”

“Who can?”找五名学生分别贴上板书。”You ask, and you answer. ”

ppt 出示问答：When is ________? It is_________. Step 5 Practice “Talk about the festivals or birthday with your desk mate.”屏幕出示句子When is ...? It is... 播放课文第二部分内容，起到对话示范作用. 学生对话练习. 展示几组对话。

Step 4 拓展（10）

1、出示其他节日

学生说一说，When is it? Tree Planting Day is March the twelfth.

Qing Ming Festival is in April. The birthday of CCP is July the first. Army Day is August the first. Mother’s Day is May 13. Father’s Day is June 17. 家庭作业：

把今天学习的节日记在英文台历上，然后再想一想有哪些有纪念意义的日子，记在我们的英文台历上，用英语说一说这些日期，如：父母的生日等。
