I Analysis of teaching content:

This part is from PEP Grade Three Recycle 1. In this part, we will review some sentences: Who’s that boy? Some words: USA, tall, short, fat, thin, long, big, small, sports. Encourage students to act the dialog out. And the same time, enable students to be friendly with others. Do more practice and keep fit. II Analysis of students:

Students are active and they would like to explore the unknown world. Many students do not work hard and they want to play with others. They have learned English from Grade Three. After half year’ study, they may feel interested in learning English. How to keep students’

learning interest is still a problem for us to explore and work out. 教学目标：

Ⅰ. Warm-up/Review Play the tape “How are you?” Ss sing and act.

Review the songs and chant of the 3 units. Free talk: Hello! Good morning/ afternoon!

What’s your name?

Nice to meet you.

How are you?

Goodbye!

Ⅱ. Presentation Take out the puppets of Sarah and Wu Yifan. Ask them “Who is she/he?” Ss tell their names.

Tell Ss they are new friends. Ask Ss to make dialogues in pairs. Then act out. S1: Hello! I’m …. (What’s your name?)

S2: I’m …. /My name is ….

S1, S2: Nice to meet you.

Goodbye! See you! Tell Ss they are old friends and ask them to make another dialogue. Then act out. S1: Good morning/ afternoon! …

S2: Good morning/ afternoon! …

S1: How are you? S2: I’m fine, thank you. How are you?

S1: Very well, thanks. S1, S2: Goodbye! / See you! When a pair is acting the dialogue, T puts on the puppet “Bailing” and adds the dialogue, introduce “Who are you?”

S1: Hello! … How are you?

S2: Very well, thanks. T: Hello! …

S1: Hello. This is …. This is ….

S2, S3: Nice to meet you. S1, S2, and S3: Let’s go to school. / See you!

P1: Hello! … How are you?

P2: Very well, thank you. P3: Hi!

P2: Who are you? P3: I’m …/ My name’s ….

P2, P3: Nice to meet you.

P1, P2, and P3: Let’s go to school. / See you!

Hang on the picture. Play the tape. Ss listen to the dialogue. Play the tape again. Ss listen and repeat.

III Practice Students listen to the tape and point to sentences. Listen again, students read after it. The teacher leads students to read the dialog. Then ask students to act it out. IV Homework Students read the dialog after class.
