学情分析

本课为高二第二学期的第五单元内容。经过一段时间的高中英语的学习，学生已经掌握了高中英语的学习特点节奏。同时掌握了一定的词汇量和语法基础。并已经熟练的掌握了常用的阅读方法及其特点。并且，根据观察，学生基本都懂得在阅读前，自觉预习文本中的一些生词的读音和意思，这为顺利地进行阅读活动提供了坚实基础。

7. 教法分析

1. 演示法：把制作的课件显示给学生看，便于学生直观地获得相关信息，并留下深刻印象。

2. 任务驱动教学法：将本节课需要达成的目标融入若干阅读任务中，积极引导进行分析、讨论，并在老师的指导、帮助下找出解决问题的方法，最后完成教学任务。

6. Teaching procedures & ways

Step I Lead-in

T: In the last class, we learned something about the life of Peking man. Now turn to page 43 and look at the pictures and think what these early people are doing? Ss: Some are preparing food. Some are making tools by sharpened stone tools and scraper.

T: Now read the passage and find out what the life was like.

Step II Reading Students are required to answer the following questions: 1. Which jobs did Dahu do? 2. Which jobs did Lala do? 3. Who works cooperatively and who does tasks alone? 4. Who does the most dangerous tasks? 5. Where does the danger come from? After first reading, the students try to find the answers to the above questions.

Step III Post-reading From the reading passage, we can see that long ago men and women had quite separate responsibilities. In groups discuss the possible work division between men and women at that time. Men’s tasks: making tools, fishing, making fire, protecting the family from wild animals, cutting up meat. Women’s tasks: collecting nuts and fruit, making and sewing clothes, looking after baby, preparing food, doing housework. Now look closely at the tasks above and discuss which adjectives best describe each of them. Give your reasons. Sample answers:
