1.能理解、认读单词或短语:which, Drama, History, Mr Howard, Mr Washington. 2.能读懂句子,并根据短文内容进行判断。
3.能理解、运用句型:Which school does Mary Chen go to? How many pupils are there in Mary’s class? 等谈论Mary Chen. 4.能仿造短文谈论自己的学校生活。
5.在小组活动中,学会互助,并共同进步。
教学重难点:
1.认读、理解短文“School is great fun!”
2.能运用核心句型谈论自己的学校生活。

教学步骤:

Warming-up 1. Greetings: How are you today?
What’s the weather like?
2. T:This year you are in Year Six. You have spent 6 years in this school. I think you all have great time in here. Today let’s talk about the school.
Read the title:School is great fun! 二、Presentation
1. T出示Mary Chen的头像:Here is a girl. She’s Mary Chen. She likes her school. And she will tell us something about her school. Then discuss in your group with these questions:

Which school does Mary Chen go to?
②
How many pupils are there in Mary’s class?
③
What new subjects will she have this year?
④
What does she write about her Drama teacher?

Do the pupils like their teachers?
将学生分成小组4—6人开展自己阅读,并讨论以上问题。
2. 教师在阅读前给予学生小tips,如:边读边自己划出关键信息;读懂问句;注意人称的转换。
