Encourage them to be brave and like adventures. Important point: cowboy hat, boots, cactus, put on, take off, get on, get off, go for a ride, stop your horse, sit down, ouch Difficult point: Students can read and mine the actions correctly. Teaching properties: pictures and media.

Teaching process:

warming up 1.

Introduce myself to induce today’s topic. What is the meaning of “adventures”? Let’s watch a video to find the answers. 2.

Free talk. T: Do you like adventures?

Ss: Yes. T: let’s have an adventure in our class. “Horse racing” (evaluation) T: Our friend, Toby, also likes adventures. Let’s have a look –Toby’s adventure.

二、Presentation 1. Before the adventure, what can Toby wear? Guess? Induce two new words “cowboy hat” and “boots”

2. Using the videos to interpret nine sentences.

Students can read first and then they can describe them and mine the actions.

Consolidation 1. Review nine sentences and watch the whole video about Toby’s adventure. Students can say and do it while watching. 2. Listen and number 3. Group work: fill the blanks and mine the actions

Conclusion T: Toby has a bad adventure but I really believe you will have a good adventure in your life. For example: Do you like the space, sea and top mountains? Please be brave.
