Unit 4

What can you do? Part C 教学内容：Story time 教学目标：

1、能读懂Story time 部分的趣味故事。

2、培养学生综合运用英语的能力，保持学生高昂的学习兴趣和积极合作、交流的精神。

教学重、难点：

重点：灵活运用句型

what can you do? I can…..

难点：理解故事大意，并能用自己的语言大概复述处故事内容。

教学准备：

多媒体课件

教学过程：

一、Warm-up 1、课堂口语练习

T：Good afternoon, class! Ss: Good afternoon, teacher! T：What can you do? Ss: I can….. 2、教师播放歌曲What can you do?的录音，全部学生跟录音大声唱歌曲，激发学生的学习热情。

3、教师出示谜语，让学生读出谜面并猜想，引出老鼠的英文单词Rat,开启故事的开头。

T：Here I have a riddle ,do you want to know what is it? 学生有的说是snake或者mouse,教师揭示谜底，并说明Rat 和Mouse的区别。

二、Presentation 1、带着问题初读小故事

T：One day, the little rat is picking up flowers near a lake, But suddenly here comes a snake, well, What will happen when the rat meets the snake? Read the story by yourself and answer the question. Ss: read the story and find the answer

教师出示选择题，学生读后做出选择。

2、再读故事做判断

教师让学生细读小故事，深入了解故事内容，学生阅读中若有难度可以向老师寻求帮助。

学生自己大声阅读，教师出示课件，指名学生翻译题意并判断对错。

3、听录音，感受语音语调。

三、Consolidation 讨论

教师带着学生一起解读小故事，指出tasty和delicious 意义等同。Ask students to read sentence by sentence and translate, when students are in trouble, Teacher will give them help.

教师出示两个问题让学生讨论：1、Why the snake can not eat the rat? 2、when you are in danger, what should you do? 学生举手回答：Because the rat is very clever, so the snake can not eat it. 教师补充除了Clever 还可以说cute/lovely/brave/calm,并发问Can you write a title for the story?

The clever rat 教师提出第二个问题，让学生自由讨论，如果英语表达不出来也可以用汉语回答。

四、Summary 教师根据学生的回答，罗列三条小建议：1、Keep calm and do not be afraid! 2、Try to look for help and run away! 3、Call 110 or call to parents and teacher. CONCLUSION: when you are in trouble you need to keep calm and intelligent! You have a chance of escape! 五、Homework

1、Retell and act out the story to your parents or friends in English 2、Continue writing the story 板书设计
