Chinese kites Step 1 Lead-in

1. Guess the names of outdoor activities. T: Hi, everyone. Today we will learn unit6 intergrated skills. By the end of the lesson, you will should be able to: 1. learn about the history of Chinese kites; 2. talk about a day out for outdoor activities; 3. arrange a day out and enjoy the day out. Doing outdoor activities is fun. Now, let’s enjoy some pictures and you’ll learn a lot about outdoor activities.(根据图片猜测户外活动名称,使用点名回答工具)What did they do in the picture? They went jogging/cycling/riding/skating/camping/on a picnic. 2. Free talk. (1) Do you like outdoor activities?

自然地引出有关风筝外形的话题，正式进入文本的A部分。

T: Which kite is Amy’s? Listen and match again. Step 3 Presentation T:Now flying kites is a very popular activity around the world. Do you want to know the history of kites? I searched on the internet and found this. How do you say these periods in English? Read after me. T: Now let me check your understanding. Do you remember their English names? T: The first kite was made a long time ago. Where was it made? Weifang. How to make it? You can find the answer in the museum. Which one do you choose? (Wood, string, paper, bamboo, silk) T: Making kites is not easy. Who made them? Let’s meet four famous people in history.

T: Look. Who is he? Which period is he in? What did he do? Let’s listen. Before this, I have three tips for you.

Tip1: Predict(预测) some answers before listening.

Tip2: Pay attention to (注意) the key words（关键词

）while listening.

Tip3:Write the part letter if time is limited（有限的）.

Step4 Listening (A2 and A3) T: Millie made some notes about kites, but she made some mistakes. Before listening, let’s fill in some of them.

记得带手机很重要。It is very important to remember to take the mobile phone. 3.

从那时起，人们用木头做风筝。2种From then on, people used wood to make kites. From then on, people made kites out of wood. Take photos of students exercises and show it on the screen.（白板拍照上传）

先朗读对话，再进行讨论，最终完成自己的一日外出活动计划。铺垫和积累至此，学生已经具备开展活动的知识储备。本部分旨在鼓励学生灵活应用所学，实现语用价值。同时，本部分以合作形式开展活动，学生可在合作中互相学习，增进友谊，培养情感。
