3. Pay attention to the last word of each line, and then think about what poem is like. Step 3: Enjoy the beauty of the poems

1. Watch a video of Reading and get to know what pets they are about.

2. Read the two poems and enjoy the beauty of the poems and find out the poem rhyme. Step 4: Catch the meanings of the poems

1. Read the first poem about my dog and then answer three questions.

2. Match the lines from the poem with their meanings.

3. Read the second poem about my goldfish and then finish a short passage about it.

4. Finish Part B3 and read it together. Step 5: Practice

1. Reading the two poems together and try to find out what poem is like. a. Poetry(诗歌) is one of the three major types of literature, the others being prose(散文) and drama. b. Most poems make use of highly concise(简练的), musical and emotionally charged(有感情的) language. c. Many also make use of special devices of sound such as rhyme.

1. Take out of the classic reading books and choose one of the poems to read. Students can read it alone, in pairs or in groups.
