A.Knowledge targets.

1. Enable the Ss to master the words of family members as “father (dad), mother (mom), grandfather (grandpa), grandmother (grandma), sister, brother etc.” and some new words as “beautiful, actress”.

2. Enable the Ss to master the sentence patterns:

“Who’s that man/woman? He’s/ She’s ... ”“Is he/she your ...? Yes, he/she is. / No, he/she isn/t.”

3.Enable the Ss to understand the short story and role-play it. B.Emotional targets

1.Breed Ss’emotions for their love of their family and for the respect of the old;

2.Encourage the Ss to introduce their family boldly.

V. Teaching Procedures

Step 1 Warm-up

1. Greetings.

2. Let’s sing - I love my family.

(设计意图:以欢快的英文歌曲导入,激发学生学习的兴趣。) 3. Group dividing.

T: Today we’re going to have several teams to PK. The winners will get some gifts. So, are you ready?

(设计意图:分组PK, 激发学生竞争意识,为课堂活动增加趣味性。)

Step 2 Lead-in

1.Say me!

Teacher shows her own photo and family photo with CAI.

T: Hi, I’m Bella. I like to travel.

Look! This is my family. This is my dad. This is my sister. And this

is me! Now, can you introduce your family to me?

(设计意图:让学生迅速了解老师,自然而然引出之后的“介绍叫人”环节。)

2.Say you!

T: (showing a family photo of S1 with CAI)

Look! Whose family photo is this?

S1: It’s mine. T: Good! Can you introduce your family?

S1: This is my family. This is ...

T: Good for you! Your group can get one point!

...

(设计意图:通过课件展示1-2位同学的全家福并请他/她介绍自己的家人,为后面小组内介绍家人环节做铺垫。)

3.Pair work: Introduce your family in your group.

T: Now, show me your family photos. Good. Please introduce your family to your partners.

(设计意图:通过用实物照片向同伴介绍自己的家人,巩固本单元词汇和句型。)

Step 3 Presentation

1.Welcome to Bella’s Story time.

T:You are really nice today. So now welcome to Bella’s Story time!

For today, we have two stories. One is Zoom’s story. The other is Bunny’s story.

(设计意图:通过创设“故事大课堂”情境,自然引入课本story。) 2.Watch and say.

T: (showing Zoom’s dad and mom with CAI.) Let’s enjoy the first story. Please watch the cartoon and answer this question:

Who are they? ( They are Zoom’s father and mother.)

(设计意图:第一遍观看动画,初步理解故事内容,认识Zoom的家庭成员,并解决新词beautiful, actress, 为后面理解故事情节做好铺垫。)

3.Watch and judge.

T: Now please watch again and judge.

⑴. Zoom's mom is a teacher. (F)

⑵. Zoom's mom is beautiful. (T)

(设计意图:再次观看动画,在理解的基础上判断正误,基本掌握故事情节。)

4.Listen and repeat.

T: Now please listen and repeat.

(设计意图:全文跟读,整体感知故事内容,为下一步做准备。) 5.Read and fill in.

Zip: Who’s that _____(女士)? Zoom: She’s my ______(妈妈). Zip: She’s beautiful!

Zoom: Thank you. My mum is ___ (一位)actress .

Zip: Really?

Zoom: Wait ____ minute!(请等一下!)Look at me!

Zip: Beautiful!

Father & Mother: Zoom! _____ beautiful!(多漂亮呀!)

(设计意图:读对话,根据故事原文填空。在理解故事情节的基础上进一步掌握故事内容及含义。)

Step 4 Practice

1.Read aloud.

T: Now let’s read together.

2.Practice the dialog within groups.

3.Let’s show!

(设计意图:师生共同读对话,模仿语音、语调、语气,帮助学生正确发音。通过小组练习,表演对话的形式,为学习对话增添趣味性,切实提高学生口语能力。)

Step 4 Consolidation

1.Extending reading (My family.)

⑴. The brief introduction of the story.

⑵. Read together.

⑶. Read and match.

T: What do they like? Read and match.

2.Think and say.

T: (showing the word “F AMILY” with CAI) Look!How many letters in this word?

Ss: Six.

T: What do they mean? (asking the Ss to discuss freely)

T: F is for “Father”, A is for “And”, M is for “mother”, I is for “I”, L is for “Love”, Y is for “You”. So this whole word means “Father and mother I love you”, which is the real meaning of “family”.

Step 5 Homework

1.Act out the story. 表演故事。
