Reported speech: statements, questions and imperative sentences

By Feng Nanzhen Teaching goals: 1.To help students review the concepts of direct speech and reported speech , the changes of personal pronouns, tenses, adverbials of time and place and other changes. 2.To help students learn how to use reported speech to report statements, questions and imperative sentences. 3.To develop students’ interest in grammar and enhance students’ ability to express themselves. Teaching key points：

To enable students to use reported speech to report statements, questions and imperative sentences. Teaching difficult points: To get students to learn how to use reported speech to report statements, questions and imperative sentences. Teaching methods: Giving examples, using pictures, using video and audio documents, group work, discussions, practice and cooperation. An analysis of students:

Up to now, students have learned the usage of object clauses and some contents about changing direct speech into reported speech, including concepts of direct speech and reported speech and changes of personal pronouns, tenses, adverbials of time and place and other cases. This is the second period of this grammar. Students are expected to learn how to use reported speech to report statements, questions and imperative sentences. Teaching tools: Multi-media, PPT, pictures, video and audio documents.

object ＋(not)＋to infinitive to report imperative sentences.
