Lesson 10 The Great Wall 教材分析：本课“The Great Wall”是本单元内容其中一篇，讲述了Jenny, Li Ming, Danny参观长城发生的事情。学生在学习的过程中，运用英语语言读懂文本、提高了阅读技能，更重要的是学生在学习如何描述长城的过程中，体会到语言学习的乐趣，增强自信心和成就感。

教学目标：

知识与技能目标：

（1）掌握词汇：stop, wait, feel, tired, afraid

（2）学生能用所学语言介绍长城。

学习策略目标：

（1）通过评价反思，发展自我调控策略；

（2）养成听录音和朗读句子的习惯。

情感态度目标：

（1）提高学习英语的兴趣，乐于阅读。

（2）增强学生爱国意识。

教学重点重点：能够熟练朗读课文，掌握新单词，理解课文内容。

教学难点：能够用所学知识简单地介绍长城。

准备本课所需的课件和小练习。

教学设计

Step1：Warming up Step2：Revision and leading in

Show Tian’anmen

Square and the Palace Museum (ppt) to revise the famous places in Beijing. (设计意图：通过图片复习天安门广场和故宫，让学生巩固对天安门广场和故宫的描述,并引出长城。)

Step 3：New Teaching 1.Show the picture of the Great Wall(ppt), ask the students what they know about the Great Wall. Then show the videoofthe Great Wall.From this video, the ss feel the Great

Wall is great.

(设计意图：通过图片和视频让学生感受长城的长和古老。) 2. Listen and answer the questions.

Let the ss listen to the tape ,then answer the questons.

(1) How old is the Great Wall? (2) How long is the Great Wall?

(3) How do they go to the Great Wall?

(设计意图：让学生听懂并理解课文内容第一部分。) Step4：Practice

The ss practise the dialogue in pairs, then act.

A: How old is the Great Wall? B: It’s______

(设计意图：让学生进一步巩固练习对长城的描述。)

Step4：Learn the new words.

Learn the new words: feel, tired, afraid, stop, wait.Then

ask the ss to say the chant and do the exercise.

Step5：New Teaching

Let the ss listen to the tape ,then answer the questons. •How does Danny feel on the way back? •

Step6：Writing

The ss talk more about Beijing in groups. Then write a

short passage. Introduce 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. Step8：Homework

Make a poster about Beijing.
