五、教学过程

Step 1 Check the students’ guided learning paper and check the new words.

The group leaders check the members’

guided learning paper, and choose one student to show her answers to class, then all the students follow the English monitor to read the new words. 【设计意图】通过小组长检查学生的导学案，使用展台投影学生的答案，了解学生的预习情况；让英语科代表领读新单词，培养学生的能力，分担教师的一些教七年级下册Unit 7 教材版本

Step 2 Lead-in

1. Present some pictures to learn can and be able to(4 pictures) T: Look at the pictures, what can he do?/what can they do? S: He can______.=He is able to_____. ________ is his ability.

They can______.=They are able to _____.______is their ability. Ask some students to answer.

2. Talk about abilities. What ability do you have?=What can you do?

Pair works. A: What can you do? B: I can_____. What about you? A: I can______. ____ is my ability. Choose some pairs to show to all the students. 【设计意图】通过图片导入本节课的语法和重点单词，让学生反复练习can 和be able to的用法，达到巩固目标语言的目的。

Step 3 Learning the comic strip Students watch and listen the flash of the comic strip first, then follow the teacher to read it, then all the class read it and answer the following questions: ⑴ Is Eddie a Superdog?________________________________ ⑵Can he fly?__________________________________________ ⑶What does Hobo say when Eddie wants to fly?______________ ⑷Why does he say that?_________________________________ Ss work in group and in pairs to practice acting the dialogue, the teacher choose one or two pairs to act out for all the class. 【设计意图】通过观看动画，先让学生从视觉和听觉上感受目标语言，然后模仿练习，达到事半功倍的效果。

Helping Hands Club Show the six pictures to the students and ask:

Ss: He is helping an old man./They are cleaning up the park. Students match the pictures and the sentences. Then all the students follow the teacher to read the sentences until they can read them fluently. B

The members at the Helping Club are talking about what they can do to help others. Let the students close the books and listen the dialogue twice, then choose the right answers to the three questions.

六、教学反思

1. 学生对be able to 这个短语掌握不好，不是忘记变化be动词，就是忘记to后加动词原形，操练不够。

2. Welcome to the unit B部分对话练习不够，应给学生多点时间操练。
