Step 1 Warm-up

1. Greetings: Good morning, boys and girls.

2. (CAI 1 ) Listen to a song: What can you see?

3. Free talk: Do you like animals?/ What’s your favourite animals? 3. Lead-in: Lesson 7 Where do the tigers come from?

Step 2 Presentation and practice

1. First reading:

(1) Stick-picture: zoo/ Beijing Zoo

(2) Listen and answer: What animals are there in Beijing Zoo?

(3) Draw stick-pictures: elephants/ bears/ tigers

2. Second reading:

(1) (CAI 2) Read and and answer the questions:

①Where do the tigers come from? (northeast China)②What do tigers and bears eat? (meat)

③What about elephants? (plants)

3. Third reading:

Stick-pictures: (pandas)

(1)Say something about the pandas:

black and white/ lovely/ bamboos

(2)Do they only live in China?

(3)TPR: take a photo of/ take some photos of(板书)

4. (CAI 3) Listen and repeat

5. Role play: G1---G2---G3

6. Retell:

(1) T示范,

(2) Groupworks
