Watch the flash pictures about New Year’s Eve and talk about feelings. Use the hand-held expression cards to help Ss talk. 2)

Get to know Lulu and Lulu’s family members. Ss make a guess before reading and listening. 2.

Watch and listen the mid-part of the story. Find out the change of Lulu’s feelings. 2)

Read each scene in the mid-part of the story and finish relevant activities\acting.

Activities for each scene: Burnt-egg scene: Find out the right color of the egg through reading and imitating. Lulu-in-the-car scene: Use the help of the prop car. Read and fine out Lulu’s right position. Lulu and Ling scene: Ss try to drag the sleeve of Ling’s coat out of the house. Judge where Ling is. Uncle-and-Aunt scene: Read and turn over uncle and aunt’s pictures to the blank side. Tell the reason. 3)
