一、单元整体设计思路
“How noisy”是小学牛津英语(上海版)五年级第二学期“Using my five senses”模块中的单元主题。
本模块的主要学习内容均是学生生活中的所见、所闻,并能在学习的过程中来发现“ 动物的生长过程”,体验并改善“杂乱的环境”和
“吵闹的环境”。本单元以生活中的噪音为主题,引导学生在真实的语境中,体验不同环境中的噪音,了解噪音给人们带来的危害,并倡导Do everything quietly and nicely!的理念,给自己和他人创造一个安静舒适的生活环境。
二、单元有效实施路径
(一)单元教学目标
1. 能借助图片、音频知晓元音字母组-oi-, -oy, -our, -ure的发音规则,并能正确朗读含有-oi-, -oy, -our, -ure的单词和句子。
2. 能用核心句型:What’s that noise?
对核心词汇:drill, lorry, bus, car, motorbike进行问答、描述并能正确书写。掌握询问声音的特殊疑问句,并能在语境中进行交流和运用。
3. 能了解规则动词过去式的变化规律、积累不规则动词的过去式,能在情景中运用…(did)…的形式,简单表述过去的动作行为。
4.体验不同环境中的噪音,了解噪音给人们带来的危害,并倡导Do everything quietly and nicely!的理念,给自己和他人创造一个安静舒适的生活环境。

(二)分课时教学目标
Period 1
1. 能正确朗读含有字母组-oi-, -oy, -our, -ure单词的发音,并尝试朗读含有这些字母组的单词。
2. 能听懂核心句型:What’s that noise? It’s a …对听到的噪音进行询问,并认读、拼读核心词汇:drill, lorry, bus, car, motorbike,初步掌握其音、形、义。
3. 能运用核心句型:What’s that noise? It’s a …进行听音辨声的活动,区分不同噪音的来源,并作出正确的应答。
4. 通过Noises in my neighborhood语境的设定,感知一般过去式中行为动词的变化,归纳出规则动词的变化规律,并积累一般过去时中的不规则动词变化形式。
5. 体验噪音给生活带来的不便和影响,提倡营造舒适的生活环境。

1、微视频前导,感悟单词和词组:kingdom, everything, loudest, shout, Period 4 hear about, the songs of, quietly的读音与含义,读通故事;

2、通过前测反馈,进一步了解噪音王国人们的喜好,找出故事的起因,在问答中巩固句型及核心词汇: People do everything loudly. make the loudest noise, shout together;
3. 通过问题引领,引导学生自主找出两个不同的礼物:the loudest noise, the songs of the birds and river,和送礼物的方法: shout together, open the mouths and listen,并在思维碰撞中,感悟国王和人们对声音喜好的变化促进了国人行为的转变。
4、通过揭示故事背后的寓意:Better kingdom(city) makes the better life! 倡导Do everything quietly and nicely!给自己和他人创造一个安静舒适的生活环境。

Period 1
Noises in my neighborhood
It was Saturday afternoon. Kitty and Ben were at home. Kitty wanted to read a book. But it was too noisy outside.
Kitty: What’s that noise? It’s too loud. Ben: It’s a lorry. It makes the loud noise. Too noisy! Kitty: Oh, the lorry drove away. It’s quiet now. I want to do my homework. Then Kitty began to do her homework. But she heard another loud noise. Kitty: Listen, what’s that noise? Is it a lorry? Ben: No. It’s a drill. The workers are working outside. They make too much loud noise. Kitty: We live at a noisy place with all the lorries, drills and motorbikes. It’s always loud everywhere. I really want to live on the Mars. Ben: Mars? Do you think it’s always quiet on the Mars? Kitty: Maybe.
Period 2
Noises in my city On Saturday afternoon, Kitty heard some noises at home. She wanted to read a book and do her homework, but it was too noisy outside. She wanted to live on the Mars.
My city is a noisy place. With all the buses and cars. Sometimes it is so noisy. I want to live on the Mars. It’s quiet everywhere.
I like the quiet place.
My city is a noisy place. But it’s not loud everywhere.
I love going to the library. To read the good books there. My city is a noisy place. But on Sunday morning. It’s always nice and quiet. I can hear the birds singing. It became quiet again. Kitty and Ben sat on the sofa and watched a cartoon. They heard Sam sleeping beside the sofa. How nice!
Period 3
Noises in my eyes
The next day, Kitty and Ben went out. There was a pop group at City Square. They sang and danced with the loud music excitedly. Ben enjoyed it very much. He had great fun. But Kitty didn’t. She didn’t like the loud music at all.
Ben and Kitty went back home. Ben was doing his homework.
Kitty: Ben, do you like loud music? Ben: Yes, I do. So Kitty wanted to play some loud music for Ben. She played the drum loudly. It was too noisy. Ben didn’t like it at all. He stopped Kitty and did the homework. Kitty went into her room and kept a diary. Then, it became quiet.
Period 4
The Noise Kingdom In the Noise Kingdom, people like doing everything loudly.
The king’s birthday is coming. People want to give him a present. The king wants to hear the loudest noise in the world. Most people want to shout together at 12 o’clock on his birthday. But the boy has another idea. All the people hear about his idea.
At 12 o’clock on king’s birthday.
All the people open their mouths and listen. They hear the songs of birds and river. The king likes the songs. He thinks they are the best songs in the world.
After that, people do everything quietly.
