教材分析：

本课时外研版小学英语四年级下册第五模块第二课时，课文情境是对过去与现在的不同，课文展示了三组说明过去与现在不同的图片。三组图片对比向学生揭示了这样一个道理：事物是会变化的，要用发展的眼光看事物。这一内容的学习有助于促进学生的心智发展。本课时是在第一课时基础上进一步学习如何描述对比过去和现在的不同之处，但增加了wasn’t 和weren’t两个否定的表达，教师通过让学生观察各种图片，创设情境来学习和巩固课文内容。课文难度不大，所以学完本课时，要求全体学生能完成教学目标任务。
