这是Module 10的第二个单元,整个单元都是有关rules的话题展开。第一单元讲述的是library rules,第二单元则是traffic rules 的有关规则,是第一单元rules 的延伸,他的实用性、社会性更强。在复习巩固祈使句的基础上,继续扩展学习使用祈使句发出指令或要求;能够遵守规章制度,执行指令,培养学生的综合能力。

六年级的学生对英语学习上有了很大的积累,所以他们对于英语已经有了一定的自主学习能力,学生在以前的学习中也初步接触过一些祈使句,为本课时的学习打下了基础。本单元,学生将在已了解祈使句基础上,运用祈使句来进行表述并以此养成良好的行为习惯。随着知识内容量增加,作为六年级的的学生来说,有一部分同学求知欲会增强,但是也有一部分同学会产生惰性,两级分化很明显。针对学生的不同情况,须采取不同的教学方法,让他们都能有所收获。

Step 1.Warmer 1. Greetings.

competition introduction: boys and girls 2. Game: I say “please”, you say “don’t”. I say 用这种“说反话”的游戏进行热身,在复“don’t”, you say “please”.

T: Please go. 习了上节课的内容后自然地引出了本节Ss: Don’t go.

课的新单词cross,进入了本课的学习。

T: Don’ t speak English.

Ss: Please speak English. Watch TV/ Point to the window./ sing a song/ ride a bicycle/ turn left/ stop…

T: Please cross. Ss: Don’t cross.

3. Teach the cross. Spell, read.

T: Why can you cross the road? Show the card Because the light is green.

Show another card with red light. T: Can you cross the road now?

Ss: No, we can’t.

T: Why?

Ss: Because the light is red. Please don’t cross. Look at the VCR of Activity 1.

Listen and say.

4.Review a chant we learnt when we were in Grade 4. Go straight on!
