二、教学目标Knowledge and skills:1、Train the students’ speaking ,listening and reading ability.2、Learn the following words: apartment, apartment block, countryside, high-rise building, local, mile, suburb, stone, bother, approach, gorgeous, architecture, starve.3、Learn the following phrases and sentence patterns: be made of, on the coast, put up, shopping malls. This is the first time I’ve visited your hometown.

Process and strategies: 1、Train the students’ speaking ability through individual and pair work. 2、Train the students’ reading skills by dealing with some activities. Emotion and values: 1、Try to raise the students’ cooperation awareness in their study by pair work or group work. 2、Request the students to love their homeland, their hometown.

三、学习者分析The students in my class have different English learning levels. Some are good at listening, speaking, reading and writing. They have very good foundation. They can express themselves in class freely. But most of the students are poor in English. They are not active in English class. When they come across difficulty, they often keep silent. So I adopt multi-media teaching to stimulate students to be interested in the topic and learn to read and speak.
