用杨澜在奥运会上的发言和奥运会的开幕式作为导入，很能吸引学生的兴趣。接着展开奥运知识抢答能让学生真正参与其中。课文相对来讲比较简单明了，通过快速阅读，细节阅读和深层次阅读并辅之以适当的练习，能很好的帮助学生理解课文并能根据适当的提示来进行课文复述，最后根据学生的认知，给他们进行话题讨论。课后的练习能帮助他们巩固课文的内容和拓展知识的外延。

Teaching aims:

具体陈述本课时要做的事及其目的，要从学生学习的角度陈述，如：

Arouse students’ interest in talking about Olympics.

Help students develop their reading ability.

Help students know as much information as they can concerning the Olympics . 4.

Teaching procedures:

Step 1

Lead-in

[来源:学。科。网Z。X。X。K]The teacher starts the lesson with a short video about the Olympics as well as a series of pictures taken concerning the sports events in the Beijing Olympics. 【设计说明】用北京奥运会的开幕式的视频和奥运项目的图片很能吸引学生的眼球，引起他们的兴趣。同时能很好的引出我们要将的主题；奥运会。

Step 2

Question

The teacher asks the students about more information about the Olympics, thus making them know more about it, such as the IOC, emblem, mascot, motto, slogan, etc. 【设计说明】展开奥运知识抢答能让学生真正参与其中，

丰富学生对于奥运这个话题的了解。

Step 3

Fast reading Raise three questions from the reading passage, ask students read it quickly to find out the answers directly. 【设计说明】通过快速阅读，培养让学生养成带着问题阅读的习惯。

Step 4

Detailed reading Ask students to retell the reading with the help of the given words.

Topic discussion Show students two topics related to the Olympics, ask them to discuss in groups to share their ideas. 【设计说明】话题讨论是很能体现学生综合素质，这也是我们学习英语的一个重要的发面，就是要培养学生的表达交际能力，让学生有话可说有话会说是我们英语老师一直要坚持的。

Homework Ask students to finish some tasks to expand their knowledge of the Olympics and enhance their ability of expressing their opinions clearly.
