本单元围绕“谈论自己所喜欢的学科”这一话题，展开形式多样的听、说、读、写学习活动。主要学习一周中星期一到星期天的表达方式；掌握学科的表达；学习用because和表示品质的形容词表示理由；学习what，why，who引导的特殊疑问句。通过本单元的学习使学生学会谈论自己喜好的学科或自己喜好的其它事情并给出理由；学会说出一周的七天；学会合理地安排自己的作息时间。

七年级学生对英语的学习充满好奇心并希望得到老师的肯定，因此在教学活动中尽量利用学生感兴趣的图片让学生都参与到活动中来，有更多的机会说英语，通过学生们之间的合作学习，降低他们的学习难度，是他们体验到成功的喜悦，使各层次的学生都有所收获。

Step 1 Warming up

1.Greet the Ss 2.Use the flashcards to teach the new words and phrases.

Step 2 Presentation

Work on 1a: 1.Show some pictures on the screen and ask some Ss to perform the actions T: What are you doing? T: What is he/she doing?(help him/her to answer the question) Teach watching TV, cleaning, reading a book, eating dinner, talking on the phone in the same way.

2. Get Ss to read the activities ( make sure they know the meanings of the phrases). 3. Get Ss to look at the pictures. Then match the activities with the pictures. 4. Check the answers with the Ss. 5. Get Ss to ask and answer the questions in pairs by using the pattens and phrases.
