Unit 3 Mocky won a prize Lesson 1 Teaching design 通过前两个单元的学习，学生对过去式的概念有了一定的了解，并且已经接触了一般过去时几个特殊疑问句的表达，能够描述过去发生的动作，人物所在的处所。而本单元的学习有两个语言知识点，

1、一般过去式的疑问句形式，即肯定和否定的回答；

2、序数词first到tenth的表达方法。在本单元即将呈现的一般过去式的一般疑问句形式，是以Did引导的疑问句，从概念上讲应该不难理解，在教学中应该注意让学生整体把握理解。因此这节课我设计了这样的教学目标：

一、knowledge teaching aims：

1、认识并了解序数词：first, second, third的用法。

2、认识并初步掌握一般过去式的疑问句形式、肯定和否定的回答。

Did___________? Yes, __ did. No, ____ didn’t.

3、通过学习，100%同学能够理解故事大意，60% 同学能够正确认读课文，40%同学能够正确认读课文重点句型，能够根据图片或他人的提示认读课文。10%同学可以试着复述课文。

二、process and method aims:

1、利用学校运动会的照片以及录像资料引出本单元话题。通过他们熟知的本校运动健将以及同学参赛的经历引出运动项目及名次（序数词），激发他们参与学习的兴趣。

2、用多媒体课件创设真实的语言环境，使学生在相对真实完整的语境中接触、体验、理解语言，学习课文。

三、emotional aims: 1、培养学生集体荣誉感、能主动给别人鼓励，学会欣赏和赞赏他人。

2、了解如何赞赏他人，以及得到赞扬之后的回应。

3、解英语中是如何在比赛中给运动员鼓励、加油的用语。

4、通过刘翔在奥运会上获奖的照片，激发学生热爱祖国的热忱。

Teaching process: I Warming-up 1.Show the photo about the school sports day they had last year. 1) T: What photo was it? Learn the phrase and show the title: ( ) Look at the children, they were very 2) Show the photos and ask: “What sports were they in?”

Learn the words:race high jump

3) T: Ask individual child: At the sports day, did you run in the race? （

配以动作帮助学生理解你的问题，引导学生回答出： Yes, I did. No, I didn’t. ）

如果学生答Yes, I did. 教师做手势说：Congratulations! You are great!

如果学生答No, I didn’t. 教师做手势说：Work hard, I think you can next time. 4) Teacher speak to all the class and ask the winner at that sports day *** won the race. Were you first / second / third? (用一个、两个、三个手指帮助学生理解教师问的是第一?第二?第三?引导学生做出正确回答，然后教师说：_____ was first / second / third in that race. He / She was first and he / she won the race. 5) Show the picture about Liuxiang in the race. T: Who’s he? Who was first/second/third in this race?

T: Show the picture ( ) So, Who won the prize in the ? Liuxiang won the prize in the competition. 让学生说几遍这个句子。

II Presentation 1. Liuxiang won a prize in the competition. Mocky won a prize in the competition, too. Watch, listen, and think: 1) The first time Did ken win the race? Did Ann win the race?

2) The second time Ken and Ann didn’t win the race, what can Mocky do?

Did Mocky win a prize? 3) The third time: Watch, listen and read. 4) The fourth time: Watch and read. 5) Role play in your group. 6) Act （一两组）

2. Watch and answer: T: (P2) Who ran in the first race? 板书：________ ran in the first race. T: （师指图说）This is David, and this is John. T: (P3) Look at the picture, _____ was first.. _____ was second. _____ was third. Mocky was veryexcited. （教师故意空出间隙，让学生填补单词）

Summary: David ran very fast. He was first. （转到第四幅图）And he won the race. T: (P5) T: （师指图说）Ann, Mary and Jane ran in the second race. T: (P6) Look at the picture, can you say any sentences like P3 and P4 ? ____ was first. She won the race. ___ was second. _____ came last. T: (P7) Ken didn’t win a prize and Ann didn’t win a prize. Mocky was sad. Look, he decided to do the high jump. （教师拖长声音，等学生填空）

T: Did Mocky was first, then? ( Yes, he did.) He jumped very well and he came first. 如果学生答案有出入，可以顺势听故事部分。
