教学过程：

一、 Warming up（热身）

1、Greeting ： Hello boys and girls! Are you happy? 2、Sing a song 设计意图：师生间简单的对话拉近了距离，为新课的开展营造了良好的氛围，歌曲的应用，提高学生的学习积极性，消除紧张的心理。

二、Review and lead in （复习导入）

T:I am happy .Are you happy? Look, panda is also happy. Is it .....? 设计意图：通过简短的对话，自然的过度到新课的学习，让学生有个整体的感知。

三、Presentation and practice （课堂预习，呈现，练习）

1、check（检查预习结果）

T:What is this ? Ss: It is a book . T: Yes, it is a book about London. London is a big city. Last class, I asked you to find out sth about London . Now, let’s check……

Show some pictures about London . eg, Big Ben. London eye, Backingham palace , Queen's house….

2、Text （1）课堂预习

T: Now,we know London is a big city, I like London, Amy and Lingling also like London, look they are talking about London, Ok now let’s have a look, boys and girls please open your book and turn to page8. a. listen, point and find “big beautiful small”

1 tell the students to close their books. I am going to say the first word of a two-word place name. These places are all in London. The students have to say the second word of the two-word name. Example: T: Buckingham… Ss: …Palace.

T: Hyde… Ss:…Park.

2 Show three pictures on the screen about "Big Ben", "Hyde Park", and "Tower Bridge". (Write down these words.) The same time, I am going to read the text for the students. Have them remember the sentences. The second time, ask some students to introduce the pictures. （五）游戏Guessing game. Part three Listen and point A: It’s very old. What is it ? B: It’s the desk. (六)学唱歌曲

London Bridge is falling down

1、Have the students look at the picture and describe it (children playing a game). 2、Tell the students that this song, 'London Bridge is falling down' is a traditional English song. Explain that London Bridge is a very famous bridge in London. 3、Play the spoken version of the song and have the students repeat each line. Play the tape and have the students sing the song. 4、Explain the actions and have the class sing the song again. Choose some students to come to the front and play it. Let's see "Who is the winner?" (七) Make a poster about your hometown Make a poster about your hometown and introduce it to the class Eg: This is Rizhao. It is ……
