Lesson12 A Visit to the Great Wall 一、教材分析

本课是冀教版五年级下册第二单元Lesson 12 A Visit to the Great Wall 一课，是一节故事课。

本课是在学习了Li Ming、 Mrs. Li 、Jenny 和 Danny一起游览北京的天安门广场、故宫、长城和到王府井大街购物这几篇课文的基础上学习的，有助于学生了解更多的有关长城的知识，帮助学生理解并掌握外出游玩常用的英语表达方式。本课的内容接近学生生活实际，学生乐于了解，学习兴趣深厚，老师结合本课重点内容，为学生创设游览长城这一情境，通过本课重点问题导入引导学生一起进入本课的学习。

二、学情分析

本课的学习对象是五年级学生，已经掌握了一些英语基础知识，对于课堂用语以及日常对话比较熟悉，有极强的模仿能力和求知欲望。学生喜欢表达，乐于交流。本课是在学生了解了北京一些著名的地方后开展的，是本单元前几课的一个总结和延伸。

三、教学目标

1. 知识与技能目标：

（1）学生能听懂并读懂故事。 （2）学生能就故事能容进行问答。 （3）学生表本课演故事。

2. 情感态度目标： （1）让学生体会到学习英语的乐趣。

（2）通过学习本课，引导学生养成良好的行为习惯，热爱保护名胜古迹，提倡学生文明旅行，做文明游客。

3. 学习策略目标：

在学习中集中注意力，初步尝试各种阅读策略：寻读、略读、根据上下文猜测词义等。 （2）通过共同完成故事表演任务，培养学生小组合作意思。 （3）学生能积极运用所学英语进行表达和交流。 4. 文化意识目标：

通过对本课的学习，让学生深入的了解关于长城的理解和热爱，从而热爱中国的名胜古迹，培养学生的爱国主义情怀。

Step1 Pre-reading 1. Greeting T: Good morning, boys and girls. S: Good morning, Ms. Meng. 2. Free talk T: Today I’m your new guide. You can call me Ms. Meng. Welcome to Beijing. I know these days you went to some famous places such as Tian’ammen Square, the Palace Museum and Wangfujing Street.（出示图片）

T: Do you know where will we go today? S: The Great Wall. （设计意图：通过对图片进行猜测，激发学生学习兴趣。）

T: You are so clever. Today we will have a visit to the Great Wall. What do you know about the Great Wall? Can you use one word to describe the Great Wall? S: It’s long/old/beautiful/big…

（设计意图：创设情境，我是一名导游，带领大家在北京旅游。通过描述长城这一环节复习旧知，快速将学生带入英语课堂中。）
