I.Teaching and learning objectives: 1. Knowledge objective: To enable the Ss to master the key words ‘cat, pig, duck, bear, dog…’and the sentences ‘What’s this? It’s a …’. After the lesson, they will learn how to introduce animals and use the sentence ‘What’s this?’ to ask things that they don’t know .At the same time, students can learn to understand and read the text. 2. Ability object: To develop the Ss’ abilities of listening, speaking reading and using English to express . 3. Moral objects: Ss can be encouraged to try their best to express their favorite animals and imitate them. And they can be guided to protect the animals because animals are human’s good friends. II.The focal and difficult points:

As the pupils, they might not know how to pronounce the key words ‘ cat\dog\pig\bear\duck\this’correctly. So they will be asked to play kinds of games to learn the key words and sentences.

In order to help the Ss learn how to introduce the animals, I will design some activities to lead the Ss to practice the target sentences and express their opinions fluently. III.Teaching aids: pictures, tablet computer,blackboard, flash

Play a guessing game and earn the new words by pictures and correct the pronounce of the words.

1)Watch a video about loving animals and have a look at some pictures about animals and human. After Step 5 watching the video and pictures, Ss can understand that animals are human’ s good friends so we human should protect them. 2)Summary and praise the winners and congratulate to them. V.Homework:

Draw a zoo and introduce the animals at the zoo to your friends.

1、Using the games to practice speaking English is very important to attract the curiosity of students. 2、It is necessary for teachers to design some interesting activities to learn the knowledge in the book and try to create more opportunities to encourage the students to speak English.
