Grammar: The Present Perfect Continuous Tense

Tenses are a very important grammar item in senior high school English. And the present

perfect continuous tense is one of the most important part in all tenses. Its structure is complex

and it is easy to confuse it with the present perfect tense. So it is placed in the last unit of Model

8,aiming to get the students to go over all tenses. The tense is always tested in the College Entrance Examination in the form of simple choice. What’s the most important is that students

must learn to use it properly with other tenses in writing. Analysis about the students.

The students have learned the other tenses before and they have seen the sentences using the present perfect continuous tense in the reading part. Besides, they are good at taking in new knowledge. But some of them are tired of learning grammar because they think it’s boring. So it’s essential for the teacher to direct them in their learning method and raise their interest in learning grammar.

I. Leading-in(导入):

give students four sentences using the present continuous tense. And another four sentences using the perfect tense。

Have you finished your homework? Have you seen the film? 目标1 Purpose 1.To review what they learn in the last class and lead to the topic of this class.

第二步StepII. 引进现在完成进行时：present perfect continuous tense

目标Purpose: To make the students to be clear about what should be learned in this class.

第三步StepIII. 现在完成进行时的结构，意义和用法：

1. 重要知识讲解：

现在完成进行时的意义：表示从过去某时开始一直延续到现在的动作,且动作正在进行. 现在完成进行时的结构：（三种句型）

目标1Purpose1: To serve as the material of reviewing different tenses and leading to the present perfect continuous tense. 2

肯定句：…have / has been doing…

否定句：…have / has not been doing…

疑问句：Have / Has +主语+ been doing…

第四步StepIV. 课堂练习：

Make some sentences according to the key words on your paper, using the present perfect continuous tense.
