Ability Objectives Improve the students’ speaking and listening ability by talking about what their favorite subjects are using target language. 3. Moral Objectives Encourage the students to learn their subjects well and love their teachers as well as their school and the classmates. Ⅱ. Teaching important points 1) Students could be able to ask and answer what other students’ favorite subjects by what question. Ⅲ. Teaching difficult points After the class, students are able to express the reasons why they like the subjects using the description words. Ⅳ Teaching Methods Task-based language teaching method, communicative Approach. Ⅴ. Teaching Aids A projector, a computer, ipads. Ⅵ. Teaching Procedures Step 1 Lead in and Warming Up
1) Greeting as usual; 2)Share the difficult problems in the micro-lesson,present the troubles and problems they raised after the microlesson. Purpose: Make it clear what we are going to learn today.
3)Sing a song about the days of the week togother. Purpose: Teach the days of the week by singing, create a warm atmosphere in the classroom. Step2 Guessing game After singing, ask students T: what day is it today? What subject do we have on the day? what day is it tomorrow? S: Purpose: new words are reviewed, and then the sentence pattern was leaded out to attract students’ attention.
Game 1:T: Do you want to play games? Listen to the voice of your teacher, and guess who the teacher is and tell us what you think of the subject and when you have it. Purpose: let them review and practice the words of descriptions words, the days of the week, the subjects and pay attention to reasons why somebody likes the subject and Check if they have a close relationship with their teachers. Purpose: To practice speaking and use the language. prepare for the groupwork (学生两两对话,对David的日程表提问,经过3-4个课时的训练及本节课之前的铺垫,学生应能非常熟练自如的完成该项任务。)
Step 7 Groupwork Show three videos about the schedules in other places, guide Ss the schedules are never the same.they can make their own schedules and I will present their good idea to the headmaster. Purpose: To practice speaking and use the language, to think actively, to give Ss chances to show themselves,Guide Ss express themselves bravely, ask Ss to cooperate with their group members. 将上述两个阶段讨论的内容分别做成两个表格,即:Our present school和
Our ideal school life 让学生四人一组给全班做集体汇报。S1简述讨论情况,S2陈述Our present school life 表格中相关信息,S3陈述Our ideal school life表格中相关信息,S4总结提出希望。
