Reading and vocabulary部分提供了一段对话，介绍厦门市的地理位置、气候及城市概况。让学生阅读文章后完成练习，培养学生的快速阅读能力，以及对词汇的认读和应用能力。

在初中英语的学习基础上，刚升入高中的学生还没有掌握略读，跳读等学情分析

阅读技巧，及识别关键词，确定主题句等策略。并且大部分学生基础薄弱，英语阅读能力较差，主动学习性不够。但是学生态度认真，思维活跃，敢于提出不同见解，能较好地展开话题讨论，各抒己见。因而采取多媒体教学，设置感兴趣的话题来激发学生交流和学习的兴趣，使学生始终处于积极、主动的思考、探究的状态中，创造充满活力的课堂气氛。

新的课程标准强调教师、学生、内容、环境四个因素的整合，这四个因素持续交互，呈动态发展。

教学法

鼓励学生课前认真预习新单词。

2. 教师的教学准备

新课程标准要求采用互动的课堂模式，提倡开放的学习方式，鼓励学生

创造性地运用语言。在上课前，注意了解不同层次学生对这一部分内容的了解程度，吃透教材，上网查询资料(如厦门鼓浪屿的图片)，扩大自己的知识面和对电脑的认识，下载新颖的图片，以激发学生学习的积极性。除此之外，还在课前估计课堂内可能发生的情况，准备好各种预案，以便顺利完成教学任务。

Homework Write a passage about your hometown according to what you have learned 设计说明：学生通过做这个家庭作业把课堂所学的内容用自己的语言描述自己的家乡，表达对家乡的爱。对于学生来说比较简单，让学生有成就感，增加学生的信心，激发更大的热情投入英语学习。

A Lively City这篇文章是一篇对话，它以简洁的文字向人们展示了厦门这个富有活力的城市，学会描述一个城市，并激发对祖国和家乡的热爱之情。本课内容包括：利用略读跳读等阅读技巧，识别关键词及确定主题句等方法来培养阅读能力，并通过相应的练习来巩固；通过思维导图更好地理解文章结构框架及复述课文。

在整个教学过程中，我以“课堂活力”为宗旨设计这堂课的每一步，由浅入深，我先通过一首歌曲放松心情，然后展示了厦门的风景建筑等图片，并以此导入新课---一个富有活力的城市，其次让学生听录音训练听教学反思

图让学生掌握文章的框架，培养学生获取信息，归纳总结信息，正确处理信息的能力，培养学生的思维能力和综合言语运用能力。最重要的是，学生的英语口头能力得到明显提高。最后小组讨论一个城市，畅所欲言，并大胆自主地表演，达到课堂活动的高潮。整个课堂总体来说气氛宽松、民主、和谐、活跃，有活力，学生和老师配合默契，学生积极回答问题，踊跃发言，大胆地展示自我，课堂轻松愉快，教学过程流畅，学生学习英语的思维被激活，课堂充满活力，从而最终大大提高课堂教学的效率和质量，教学效果非常明显。
