Teaching procedures:

Step 1 Lead in 1.

Ask Ss to watch a video. And answer the following questions.

1) What sports can you see in the video? 2) What is the most important sports meeting in the world?

2. Competition (group work) Ask Ss to look at the questions about the

Olympics on the paper material. And hold a competitive match with other groups. Step 2 Presentation Sports play an important part in our life. Look at six pictures, please read out the words about sports.

Brainstorm. Each group tries to write English words about sports events on the paper as many as possible. And show other Ss what they have written. 2. Consolidation. Encourage Ss to read and recite English words in games . Step 3 Practice (pair work) Make conversations with your partners.
