Teaching Aims: Knowledge Aims: Students can read the new words correctly and say the sentences fluently. Ability Aims: Students can ask for help when necessary and pass the things to others politely. Emotion Aims: Students can be well prepared to provide help to others at any time and meanwhile learn to be helpful.

Teaching Important Points: Correct pronunciation of the words and sentences’ speaking and actual application.

Teaching Difficult Points: Express the sentences freely in daily communication.

Teaching Procedures: Step 1: Greetings & Warming-up

1. Greet the students with smile. 2. Warming-up: Divide Ss into two groups and have a competition for the scores.

Step 2: Revision & Lead-in

Talk about the weather with Ss and guide them it’s good to have a picnic with bringing their favorite food. Then play a game with Ss to review some words related to food and lead in new words for this lesson. Step 3: Presentation & Practice

Words Study: milk, ice-cream, water, box, pass

a. Show the pictures of new words one by one on the PPT. b. Teach new words one by one. Let Ss read after the teacher together and then check their pronunciations. After that make competitions of words reading between two groups.

c. Play some games: High & Low Voice, Blow Balloons, Bomb Game, etc.

d. Practice: Ss read after T; read out the words quickly and correctly on the PPT.

2. Dialogues:

Pass me the milk, please. Here you are. Thank you. You are welcome. a. Lead-in: Imagine we are going to bring some favorite food into the box for the picnic. Ask some Ss to pass the milk to the teacher to lead in the new sentence pattern.

b. Show the dialogue on the PPT then learn the sentences one after another. c. Practice: T asks Ss to pass her some items and practice the dialogues with Ss together.

Step 4: Consolidation

a. Listen and Think.

Listen to the recordings and think two questions:

----What does Amy want?

----What does Zhangjia want? b. Listen, Read & Learn.

Listen to the recordings and read after them.

c. Listen, Read & Imitate.

Listen to the recordings again and read after them.

d. Let’s Act.

Get Ss work in groups to practice and act the dialogues in Part 1. Ask two groups to show their dialogues in front of the class.

Step 5: Summary & Homework

1. Make a summary for what've been learned in this period with Ss together.

2. Assignment: Choose any task from Part 6 or Part 7.
