Step Two: Presentation 1. Show PPT and ask :How many pets do you know? Now let us play a guessing game. 2. Guess what pet I keep?

Goldfish are Peter's favourite pets. Peter is my good friend. What do you think of goldfish? Please read the poem together. 3. Are goldfish easy to look after ? How to look after a goldfish? Please work in a group of four to discuss the following questions. 1)Is a goldfish very expensive?

2)Can you put a goldfish in the sun? 3) Is a goldfish heavy? Does a goldfish weigh several kilograms?

4) Does it need clean water? 5) Can you pick it up with your hands? 6) Does it need special fish food? 7) Is it very easy to look after a goldfish? Step Three: Listening 1.Peter wants to get some information about goldfish . Mrs Jing is giving a talk about goldfish. Now please listen carefully and help Peter check his notes. 2.Finish the exercises on Page99 and then check the answers. 3.Peter is calling Amy to tell her about goldfish. I give you some minutes to complete Peter's answers with the help of the information on Page99. 4.Check the answers and read it in pairs. Step Four: Summary Make a summary about how to look after goldfish. •
