A Goldfish Step 1 Lead-in 1.

Free talk. T: What day is it today ? Are you happy? Why? What do you do at weekends? (Ask some students to answer the questions.) 2.

Listen to a song about animals. Step 2 Presentation A guessing game. T: What animal is it? Look at the the part of the pictures. Can you use some words to describe it? (Teach new words: fur, paw) Step 3 Practice Pair work S1: Which is your favourite pet ? Can you tell me why ? S2: I like my________ because ___________. 二次备课

Step 4 Presentation Show some pictures about goldfish, teach new words and phrases: noise, fur, paw, weigh, gram, weigh up to, grow up to be. Step 5 Listening 1. Part A1. T: Peter is listening to a talk on goldfish and writing down some notes. Listen to the talk and help him check his notes below. Write a T if a sentence is true or an F if it is false. 2. Part A2. T: Peter recorded the talk. Listen again and help him prepare a fact sheet about goldfish with the correct information. T: Read the sentences one by one. Let’s check who has the best memory. 3.

PartA3. T: After the talk, Peter calls Amy to tell her about goldfish. Complete Peter’s answers with the help of the information on Page 99. B Speak up Step 6 Lead-in 1.
