Step 1 warm up

1. Greetings.

2. Let’s do.(Part A)

Step 2 Presentation

A)Teaching the words:small and big.

T:lo ok carefully ! I’m a magician. I’m a magic teacher. (说话的同时,师尽快带上礼帽和手套)Then take out the small balloon, Say “Hey! I have a balloon. It’s small. The balloon is small, small, small.”.Then change the small balloon into a big balloon. And say:“Haha, look, The balloon is big now. It’s big, big, big, big.”

B)T eaching “long and short”.

T: Boys and girls, look carefully!(说话时,师迅速拿出准备好的橡皮筋)say:Haha,look,It’s short ,short, short. I can make it long.(做拉长的动作)long, long, long.(反复拉、放,带生学习long and short.)

C) 拿几件实物来操练small ,big, short and long.

D) Show the new words by CAI.

E) Teach the sentence: “It has...”by CAI.

Step 3 Practice

1. Show some pictures of animals by CAI. Ask several students to describe the animals by using “It has...”. The right student can get a star for his or her group.

2. Play a game: Make friends. Give a stickerto the students who find their friends.

Step 4 consolidation

1. Show the new word cards. Let’s students read after the teacher,

2. Play a game “Bingo!”

Write the words into the form at you please. Listen to the teacher, and circle the words you hear. If you have three in a row, s ay:“Bingo!”.

3. Show some pictures of animals, Tell students animals are our friends. We should love animals.

Step 5 Homework

1. Describe your favourite animals.

2. Read and match.(On P29 )
