Teaching aims: 1. Review how to introduce oneself and ask other’s name. 2. Help the students learn the English names of the four common stationery-bag，pen,pencil-box,book. Teaching difficulties: 1.

Make sure that the students know the right pronunciation of “bag” and “pencil-box”. 2.

Help the students use “bag，pen,pencil-box,book”

proficiently and master how to say them in English. Teaching procedures: Step1. Warm-up 1.

Invite some students to act the dialogues on the PPT -Hello, I’m Mike. What’s your name? -My name’s Wu Yifan. -Goodbye! -Bye!

Play a game Ask some students come to the blackboard and say: “hello, I’m……”in a strange voice when the other students are blindfolded with their hands. Then ask the blindfolded student to guess who was speaking just now. 3. Practice the self-introducing phrases in groups. Step 2: Presentation 1.

Teach the students how to say them in English one by one. (write the 4 words on the blackboard) 5.

Match: Show the students the word cards to strengthen their memory of the 4 words. Practice and correct the pronunciation of the 4 words. Especially the “bag” and “pencil-box”. Then ask some students to put the cards under the right word. Step 3 Drill Get the students to say the 4 words in pair. Step 4 Practice Firstly, put bag，pen,pencil-box,book in the box. Secondly ask one student pick one out and put it behind his back. Thirdly, ask each group to choose one person to guess what it is, the person who has the right answer get one point. The highest group is the winner. Use the following dialogue. _A bag/book? _Yes/No. Step 5 Presentation Open the pencil-box and say the sentence to the students.ask the students to read it alound and say the chinese meaning of

the sentence.(the same way to learn the other sentences.) Step 6 Drill Practice “Let’s do”

learn 4 new words (pen,pencil-box,bag book ).During the revision, I try to help the students learn it by themselves. When we learn the new words, I creat a scene to arouse the interests of the students. However, during the

activities .the class is a little noisy. Some students didn’t understand what to do. I should improve this aspect in the future.
