Module7 Unit1 Are there many children in your class? 教材分析：

本课是新标准英语一年级起点三年级下册当中的一篇课文。课文内容生动有趣，课本的主人公Amy和Sam在课文中介绍了自己在中国和英国的班级人数的差别，让学生了解中西方文化、人口的差异，并且给予学生正面的引导——虽然中国班级里人数众多，但是我们可以因此结交更多的朋友。在此之前，课本已经出现过There be 句型的陈述句，本课的重点句型是在此基础上进行There be句型一般疑问句的接触和学习。

学情分析：

学生在此之前已经熟练掌握There be 句型的陈述句。对于中西方文化的差异，学生有所了解但了解并不深入，也几乎没有学生有真正意义上的外国朋友。所以在学习课文的基础上，让学生对中西方文化的差异有所了解，并且尝试去结交来自世界各地更多的朋友，也是本课的学习内容。

教学目标：

1. 全体学生能够朗读并理解课文。

2. 全体学生能够朗读、理解重点句型Are there…? 大部分学生能够在恰当的时候运用其询问人或物品的多少。

3. 理解单词class, about的意义和用法。

4. 了解中西方班级的差异并敢于表达自己对于这种差异的看法和理解。

教学流程：

Step Ⅰ Warm up Say “Hello” to everyone

and tell students if they can think about questions actively or speak English very well ,they can get a “Great” in the class, and after class they can get a sticker. (课前和学生进行一点小互动，让学生明白不仅自己做好了上课的准备，老师也已经做好了和大家一起享受课堂的准备。同时揭示评价机制，鼓励大家上课积极动脑，大胆说英语。)

Step ⅡPresentation 1. 出示并板书课题。

Today, let’s learn Module7 Unit1 Are there many children in your class? 学习新单词class的发音和意义。

2. 由单词导入课文。

This class is not our class. It’s Amy and Sam’s class. Amy and Sam are our old friends. Where are they now? They’re in China. (介绍故事是围绕着Amy和Sam在中国的班级开展的，并在黑板上出示中国班级的挂图。) 3. 听录音回答问题，初步理解课文。

Listen to the text and try to answer three questions:

How many children are there in Amy and Sam’s class? How many boys?

How many girls? (板书How many…? There are…重点句型，给予学生视觉上的提示。) Try to answer the questions: There are forty-one children. There are twenty boys. So, there are twenty-one girls. 4. 结合实际练习。

How many children are there in our class? How many boys? How many girls? 5. 听读课文，进一步理解课文。

Sam and Amy are from the UK. How about the class in the UK? (在黑板上出示英国班级的挂图。) Listen , point and find “Are there…?”

(板书重点句型Are there…？) Are there many children in your class? Yes, there are. Are there many children in a class in the UK? No, there aren’t. How many? There are about twenty. (通过再次读课文，找到重点句型，了解英国的班级情况。对重点句型进行操练。对新单词about进行讲解和练习。)

6. Guessing Game There is a picture of English class. Please guess. How many boys? How many girls?

(紧扣教学内容开展猜一猜游戏，增强学生对学习内容的了解，同时操练了重点句型。) 7. Sing a song Sing a song about the game. 用学生熟悉的Twinkle twinkle little star的旋律吟唱

Are there ten boys in the class? No, there aren’t. No, there aren’t.

Are there twelve girls in the class? Yes, there are. Yes, there are. Sing the song together. Then try to sing a new song.

(老师先示范一首儿歌，然后给予一些提示，让学生自己修改歌词创编儿歌，从“教走路”到“扶着走路”，进一步让学生能够“自己走”。) 8. 细读课文，感知课文意义。

通过对比可以得知：

There are many children in the class in China. There aren’t many children in the class in the UK. Which one do you like? Why? Which one does Sam like? Why? 再细读课文，找到答案。

We’ve got more friends in China. 9. 通读课文，指导朗读。

Listen and read the whole text. Read the text together. Read the text by yourselves.

Step Ⅲ

Extension 出示我校英国的兄弟学校的简介，讨论大家想要了解这所学校的概况。

There is a sister school with our school. What do you want to know about it? Discuss in groups and write your questions on the paper.

Homework

结交英国笔友，介绍自己的学校，了解兄弟学校。

给出一些兄弟学校学生的e-mail地址，让学生选择一个，给他/她写信，结交外国朋友，介绍自己的学校并且了解一些对方学校的信息。

Consolidation Who has got the “Great”

in the class? You can get a sticker from the teacher. (及时给予学生课堂表现的总结和评价。)
