Teaching procedure: Step 1 Greeting 1.

T: Good morning boys and girls, how are you today?

Step2 Lead in 1.

T: Let’s look at a picture. What can you see in the picture? Ss: the sun, mountains, trees, animals……

T: Where is this? Is it the park? Is it the zoo?

Ss:…

T: It’s a farm. Teach the words: farm, farmyard. 3.

T: What animals can you see on the farm? Let’s watch a short video.

T: We can see many animals on the farm. Let’s look at some pictures. Teach the words: duck, duckling, hen, cock, chicken 4.

T: Look at the picture, what can you see? Ss:……

We can see Chicken Licken stood under the tree. Duck Luck is swimming in the Lake. And we can see many nuts on the see. Where is the sun, is it in the tree? Ss: No, it’s in the sky. (3)

T: Listen to the tape. What happened?

Ss: A nut fell on Chicken. Part 2 (1)

T:Look at this picture. Chicken Look up to the tree. But, did she know a nut fell on she? What did she say?

Ss: A nut fell on me.

Then, Chicken Licken ran to the barn and told Hen Len that a nut

fell on her. Teach the new word: barn.

Part 3 (1)

T:Chicken Licken and Hen Len ran to the farm. T: Who did they meet? Ss: Duck Luck. They told Duck Luck that a nut fell on Chicken Licken. (2)

T:Did Duck Luck believe it?

Ss: No. Why? (3)

T: Now, look at these two pictures: a.

What did Duck Luck ask them to do? b.

Did they know the truth? Step 5 Listen and repeat. (1)

Listen to the tape and read the story sentence by sentence. (2)

Ask some Ss to read the story. Step 6 Read and think Read the story and then answer the questions: a.

How did Chicken Licken know it made a mistake? c.

Where is the sun? Is it in the tree? d.
