教材分析：

本节课是冀教版五年级下册第二单元In Beijing的故事课，通过主人公游览长城的情境巩固本单元有关长城的特点：old and long. 呈现中国人对长城的习惯称呼、有关长城的谚语以及如何爱护长城、保护环境。

学情分析：

本课的教学对象是五年级学生，他们已经掌握了一定的英语词汇，具有一定的英语学习的积极性，具备一定的英语语言运用能力。因此，教师应在教学过程中为学生提供适当的语言环境，让学生明白本课学习的句型应如何使用，让学生在过程中体验、感知、理解目标用语。

教学目标：

知识目标：

学生能听懂和理解这个简单的故事。

学生能就故事内容进行问答。

学生能向同学复述故事。

能力目标：

通过本节课Story time学习，使学生能够表述自己在日常生活中去旅行的事迹。

情感目标：

提高学生的观察能力和语言表达能力，培养学生学习英语的兴趣，培养学生热爱文物及保护文物的情感意识。

教学重点：通过本节课的学习，学生能够简要复述课文大致内容。

教学难点：学生能够复述和表演Story time课文内容。

教学准备：教学课件，贴画。

Step 1 Warming up 1. Greetings: T: Hello, boys and girls. Ss: Hello, Miss Li. T: Nice day, isn’t it? Ss: Yes, it is. T: Let’s go to Beijing, OK? Ss: OK. T: Welcome to Beijing! Tian’anmen Square is very big. There are many people here. Some people are taking pictures. The Palace Museum is very beautiful. The palace is red and yellow. It’s about 600 years old. The Great Wall is very long. It’s about 2000 years old. And it’s about 6000 kilometres. On Wangfujing Street, we can go shopping. But be sure to be safe. Here are three things to remember. Let’s read them together. Ss: 1. Be careful when you cross the street.

2. Wait at the traffic lights.

[设计意图：一辆公共汽车突然出现，激发学生的好奇感，并以猜测的形式创设情境巧妙地导入新课，从而使学生兴趣提升、思维活跃、情趣高涨。] Step 3 Presentation 1.T：Today, Mrs. Li, Jenny, Danny and Li Ming are going to the Great Wall by bus. Do you know? What’s the Chinese saying about the Great Wall? Please open your book to 30. Look at picture3 and underline your answer. S1：The Ten-Thousand-Li Great Wall 活动方式：教师领读，学生跟读，抽查个别学生读。（反复练习）

[设计意图：在前面自然导入的前提下，让学生带着问题进行过渡。这样学生会很自然地进入到最佳学习状态中，为后面的学习奠定基

础。] 2. T: The Great Wall is very old and very long. The oldest part is more than 2000 years old. 教师举例解释the oldest 和more than 的意思，让学生充分理解。

T: Do you know more interesting things about the Great Wall? Use a proverb to describe it. S: 不到长城非好汉。

T: He who does not go to the Great Wall is not a true man. 活动方式：教师领读，学生跟读，抽查个别学生读。（反复练习）

T: It reminds me of another sentence. Perseverance is victory. [设计意图：通过举例说明，猜谚语，让学生开动脑筋尝试着去解决问题，在自主学习过程中获取新知识、感受学有所获的愉悦，同时通过延伸，让学生体会到更多种的语言表达方式。] 3.（PPT展示一张放大的乱写乱画的长城城墙图片）T：Is it right to write on the Great Wall? Ss: False. （PPT展示一张放大的干净漂亮的长城城墙图片）T：We should keep it clean and beautiful. Ss: True. T: Don’t draw or write on the Great Wall! Let’s keep it clean and beautiful.

活动方式：学生齐读。

T：Please keep in mind：Civilized travel is everyone’s responsibility! [设计意图：利用对比的方式出现，提高学生的观察能力和语言表达能力，培养学生热爱文物及保护文物的情感意识。] 4.

[设计意图：通过播放长城视频，让学生亲身体会，有感而发，从而练习Jenny 所说的话。] 5.Listen to the story and read the story. 活动方式：跟音频读。

[设计意图：用电子白板“插入链接”功能，播放课文录音，请学生跟读，模仿语句发音，掌握正确的语音语调。] Step 4 Consolidation and extension Retell the story or act out the story. (学生根据导学卡第二部分的要求来完成)

[设计意图：此环节的创设使每一组学生都可以得到相应的锻炼，能力较强的可以选择表演，能力弱一点的可以选择复述。使学生在轻松愉悦的状态下互相学习语言，很好地完成教学目标，突出重点同时也突破难点。] T：Can you introduce another place?

[设计意图：上节课已经要求学生去查一查自己喜欢的地方，做成幻灯片来展示，然后学生以导游的身份来带领大家一起参加旅游，让学生具有新鲜感，兴趣高昂，从而优化课堂结构，提高学习效率。] Step5 Summing up 学生在教师的帮助下进行课堂小结。
