Step1 : Warm up. Sing <> song with the radio. Step 2: Revision. Show some pictures ,Let the students say and spell the numbers from one to twenty. Step 3: Presentation.

1. Show an apple tree picture and let the students watch and describe it.

2.Teach “So many apples!”

3.Show another picture to learn “pick apples”. 4. Show the third picture to learn “Let’s have a race”.

Step 4: Practice. 1.

Play the tape, the students listen and try to understand the story . 2.

The teacher reads the story, the students repeat and ask questions, then we will explain the important sentences in class. Pay attention to: So many apples! Let’s have a race. I won. 3.

Let the students read the story several times and understand it again. 4.

Ask some students to act the story in pairs in class. Step 5.Summary. Ask some students to say important points in this lesson. Homework: 1.

Revise important points in story time after class.
