Grade Three

Teaching content : Part B Let’s learn .Let’s play .

Teaching aims: 1.

To learn the numbers from 16~20, use them in real life. 2.

To know the instructions of “Let’s play”. Main points: To grasp the numbers from 16~20. Difficult points: The pronunciation of the words : eighteen ,twenty. Teaching aids: The word cards of the numbers. Prepare some pictures. Prepare some strip paper with 15+3=? nine+seven=? Etc . Prepare some balls, cordages, etc Teaching steps: Step 1 Warm-up

1. Sing the song: Ten Little Candles Dance.

2. Get students to say the numbers 1-15 quickly. 3. To figure out the sum: What’s five and seven? Twelve. Etc.

Step 2 Presentation/ Practice

What’s eight and eight?

It’s sixteen.

The same way to present seventeen , eighteen, nineteen and twenty. 2.

Have the students point , read and spell the words. 3.

Game: To touch the numbers quickly while listening

to the teacher. Then make orders by themselves in groups. 4.

Guess the number. 5.

Count something. Drill the sentences:How many …can you see? I can see …

Let’s play: Do it correctly! Jump 16 times, bounce 20 times, etc Step 3 Homework 1.

Listen and copy the words. 2.
