Having heard wolves howling in the forest, Lala accelerated her walk up the path the caves fearing that there might be wild beasts lain in wait for her. She had no man with his spear to protect him. She had almost reached her destination while a delicious smell arrested her progress and she stopped. So the men had been brought home the meat for the feast! The smell of cooking meat filled the air surrounding her, and her senses became dizzy with hungry. She can see her mother and the older children preparing the deer and pig meat over the fire. Her aunts were making clothes with animal skin. Abrupt she sat down, only to be scooped up by her laughing, shouting sister, Luna. Lala smiled with relief. To study the Language Points important language 1 in spite of in spite of 即使；尽管，是介词。其后接名词或动名词（短语），不能直接接句子，points in groups.（学相当于despite 习重要的语言点。）

though=although 尽管；虽然，是从属连词。引导让步状语从句，但是不与but连用，可与副词yet 连用，另外，though可以单独使用，用作副词“但是，不过，然而”。

as=though 尽管；虽然，是从属连词。As引导让步状语从句必须倒装语序，这时相当于though，而though 可倒可不倒。
