Lesson13 How old are you?
一、教学目标
1.知识目标
1)掌握“四会”单词:am when birthday 2)学生能认读、理解并运用下列基本的句型结构:-How old are you? -I’m_______years old. When is your birthday? My birthday is______ 2.能力目标
能理解并灵活运用句型,运用所学获得有关年龄和生日的信息。
3.情感目标
1)重视激发学生学习英语的兴趣,培养学生学习英语的积极态度,使学生勇于进行实践,培养他们用英语做事情的能力。
2)培养学生们关心父母、感恩父母的意识
二、教学重难点
1.教学重点:“四会”单词:am when birthday;句型-How old are you? -I’m_______ years old. When is your birthday? My birthday is______ 2.教学难点:When is your birthday? My birthday is December 17.句型的灵活运用。 三、教学过程
1.warm up T:Class begins.
S:Stand up. Good morning ,Miss Guo. T:Good morning class. How’s weather today? S:It’s ______ T:Let’s sing a song, ok? 出示flash动画歌曲《Happy birthday to you》
2.presentation 1).情景引路,顺利导入。
教师创设了一个Birthday Party的情景,顺势导入本课句型。
T: Look, this is a birthday. 2)(出示儿童及带有其生日的图片)询问When is her birthday? Do you know?引导学生回答Her birthday is June 23 。
引出句型When is your birthday? My birthday is月份+序数词
展示几张日历的日期:
T:Can you say it? 学生相互提问练习
T: My birthday is______ .When is your birthday? S1: My birthday is______ .When is your birthday? S3: My birthday is______. 教师开头说和提问,然后请同学相互提问。
3)(出示婴儿及蛋糕的图片)询问How old is the baby?引导学生回答He is one year old.
并强调只有一岁时用one year old. (出示儿童及蛋糕图片)询问How old is she?引出重点句型并板书How old are you?I’m________ years old. 同桌运用相互问答并展示。
4)Play the audiotape and ask the students answer the questions读课文回答问题。(找同学回答)
(1)、How old is Danny? (2)、How old is Steven? (3)、When is Steven’s birthday? (4)、When is Danny’s birthday? 5)采用击鼓传花的游戏,当轮到某个同学时,全班齐声:How old are you?When is your birthday? 3.pair work 小组四人一组进行讨论,提问并填写表格
(1).What’s your name? (2).How old are you? .When is your birthday? 并找同学进行展示
4. Homework Ask your father and mother’s birthday ,and remember it .On their birthday ,please say happy birthday to them. 记下自己父母的生日,当他们生日的时候别忘了给他们送上生日祝福。
