本课以谈论“family”为话题，以Zoom介绍“family photo”主线，复习和巩固单元核心句型“Who’s that woman/...? She’s/He’s...”；再适当拓展，补充设计

思路

“beautiful”“tall”“cool”“nice”等常用形容词简单描述家人特征；故事通过“剥笋壳”的方式，随情节推进逐步呈现，设置小小的悬念，牢牢抓住学生兴趣点，利用信息差开展各种听说读演等语言训练；故事以Zoom介绍家庭成员为小结，引导学生以此为范本介绍自己的家庭；最后教师通过图文、视频，简单呈现“Easter”相关信息，适当拓展节日文化知识。

Greet and sing a song: Who’s she?

By showing Jack’s family photo from the song above, let the students introduce Jack’s family members by using: Hi! I’m Jack. This is my family. This is... This is ... 3.

Have the students introduce their families simply. Step 2: Presentation and practice 1.

Guide the students to talk about the first picture of the story .

(1) By showing the picture, ask the students “Where are Zoom and Zip?”

“ Why do you think that’s Zoom’s home?”

“What does Zip want to know about this photo?”

Have the students listen to this part of the story, and find out who they are.

(2) Present the sentences “She’s beautiful.”

by asking “How does Zoom’s mum look?”

And let the students practice the word “beautiful”

by describing some beautiful persons or things.

(3) Encourage the students to guess: What does Zoom’s mum do? Let them listen to the text and find out her job “actress”. Then help them get to understand and practice it by showing some photos of famous actresses. 2.

Present the fifth picture of the story and guide the students to talk about it.

(1) Let the students guess: Who’s that? Is that...?

(2) Have the students watch the video from Pic.1 to Pic.5. Present the expression “Wait a minute!” and practice it. 3.

Guide the students to talk about the last picture.

(1) Have the students watch the picture and find: Who’s coming?

(2) Have the students guess: How do dad and mum feel about Zoom’s new dress? Angry or glad? Let them watch the whole video and choose. 4.

Read and act the story. 5.

Have the students introduce their families: This is my family. Look! This is my father. He’s tall. This is my mother. She’s beautiful... We are a happy family. I love my family. Step 3: Consolidation and extension
