Step3:Presentation Let’s read John’s notes and discuss the questions in pairs: 1.Where is John's house and what are around it? 2.What can visitors do in John’s hometown? 3.What does John think of the people in the town? 4.What do people do in the town? Step4:Reading (一) Let the Ss listen to the tape and repeat the article on Page41 . (二) Let the Ss find out the three parts of this article and the main idea of each part. Part1:introduction Part2:main body Part3:conclusion (三) Find out the useful words to make this article better.

2.Write an article about your hometown in groups of four. Each of the three students writes a paragraph of the article. The other one put them together. 3.Let’s show their articles to the other Ss and give points. Step6:Consolidation Finish off the exercises on the paper. Step7:Homework 1.Remember the new words and language points in this unit. 2.Go on finish their writing.
