Learning Aims:

Learn some words and phrases related to “neighborhood”

（organization, committee, club, children, adults, etc）

2. Aim to the abilities:

1) Practice Students’ listening skills, such as guessing, taking notes and dealing with unknown words etc.

2) Practice students’ speaking skills, such as how to start a conversation and ask questions etc.

3）Learn to talk about “My neighborhood”.

Pre-listening ( 4 mins)

Analyze the style of the coming listening.

Summarize listening background on three given questions.

Purpose : 1) Motivate students by making the topics relevant and interesting to them.

3) Prepare students on necessary language so that listening would be easier.

Stage 3: While –listening (15 mins)
