Period 1 Vocabulary

Introduction, Vocabulary for Reading (Activity 1 & 2 on Page 2) and Grammar 2 Teaching Goals: 1. 知识与技能：

Ss can remember most of the new words of module 1. 2. Ss can learn about some common suffixes for adj. eg. –ed/-ing and nouns eg. –tion

3. Ss can tell the difference between adj. with –ed & -ing.

2. Ss can get familiar with the module topic. 3.

情感与价值：

Encourage students to learn about new school , new classmates and in return it is of great help to their values. Teaching important points: 1. Get the Ss to know the differences between the adjectives ending in –ing and –ed and to use the correct forms of the verbs in the present tenses. 2. Enable the Ss to learn how to talk about the main differences between Junior school and Senior High school. Teaching difficult points: Enable the Ss to talk about their opinions about the new school. Teaching method: Individual work or pair work to get every student to take part in the Activity. Teaching Procedures: Step 1 Pronunciation Task 1: Read the Word List in Module One following the tape recorder or the teacher. Task 2: Sort the words into 2 groups. Group 1 nouns with suffixes Group 2 adj. with suffixes Designing purpose:1 class work & individual work 2 thinking while reading 3 serve the nest step Step 2 Happy Quiz 1. Divide the class into tow groups. (boys/girls) key: give clear instructions 2. One group list adjectives on the black board. The other nouns.

like it because it plays an important part in our daily life. I

本课堂的安排是为整个模块学习做好话题内容和词汇方面的准备和铺垫。目的在于为学习创造气氛，激发兴趣。在学习生词时，训练联想，对比和归纳等认知策略，训练用英语进行初步思考。
