Step 1 Lead-in (10 mins)

Teacher write “A B C and Do Re Mi” on the blackboard.

Introduce seven notes to students.

Play the song «Do Re Mi», and show the cards to students.

Disturb the cards to seven students, and play the song again.

Lead students try to sing the song with the cards. Step 2 Learn the Text 1 (10 mins)

Teacher transfer the topic from the song to text 1 «if you're happy

and you know it»

Students read the text by themselves.

Teacher show the new words and expressions on the screen, and

then guide the students to read them.

Guide the students to read the new words by themselves, and by

groups.

After learning the new words and expressions, teacher play the song

for the first time time and let students listen carefully.

Play the song again, and play the game with students with music. Step 3 Learn the Text 2 (15 mins)

Teacher transfers the topic from the text 1 to text 2 «London

bridge».

Teacher shows the new words and expressions on the screen, and

then guide them to read.

Guide students to read the text by groups.

When they finish, invent some students to read the text.

Then teacher plays the song «London bridge» for the first time,

showing the cards.

Teacher plays the song again, and guide the students to try to learn

the song.

Teacher disturbs these cards to students, and make them to act the

music play. Step 4 Practice (5 mins)

Do some vocabulary practice, such as fill in the blanks and

multiple-choice questions.

Firstly, lead the students to finish by themselves, and then check

them by teacher. Step 5 Summary and Homework (5 mins)

Summarize the texts and new words in this class, and give some

assignment, for example, review the texts and the words. 7. Teaching Reflection
