the ways to identify errors [设计说明：本课为短文改错技巧指导课。先由学生自主检测、体验考点和找出问题，然后在课堂上教师引导学生归纳总结四个辨识语言错误的方法，并让学生在篇章中学以致用来提高他们的识错能力。语篇素材以如何面对考试压力为主题，有助于鼓励学生积极面对生活和学习中的压力，以培养健康向上的良好心态。] Learning procedures: Step I Lead- in Lead inRosa Parks, who has been called the mother of the American civil rights movement, had a saying “The only tired I was, was tired of giving in.”

设计说明：利用课件介绍Rosa Parks及Rosa的这句话“The only tired I was, was tired of giving in.”既可以唤起学生的兴趣和拓展他们的知识又很自然地引入了本堂课的主题- Error Correction 说明口语表达不规范，但在书面表达时一定要规范，就此引入短文改错课题，并且激励学生勇敢面对生活和学习中的挑战，不轻言放弃。

Step II Problems and solutions. 1.Share your ideas in groups. [设计说明：此环节让学生分享作业情况，突出未找到的错误项目，为接下来的教师方法指导作铺垫。] 2.Draw a mind map to conclude the ways to identify errors. Sometimes when you feel desperate, not giving up is the best way to meet the challenges.

They have bought a lot of learning materials and healthful recipes for me, hoped that I can work harder and make a greater progress in my learning. However, what they have done make me stressed out. But I would like to say the following words to them: Dear Mum and Dad, please don’t push me too hard. I know I have to work hard to admitted into my dream university. Now with only months left, I have made up your mind to make full use of every minutes to improve my study. Step IV Design and presentation in groups Correct the errors in the first paragraph and design the remaining 4 errors in the second paragraph. 此环节利用了实物投影仪，可直观地展示学生的做题情况，同时又可提高讲解效率。

We had a weekly quiz yesterday. After failing in an exam, my life got such dark that I didn’t want to study any more. I always hid myself in his bedroom and cried quietly. In my family, I felt I am never important. I was not allowed to watch TV, using the computer or go out unless permitted. What’s worse, I had to stay in the study except when I had meals. Step V Homework Please identify and correct the errors in the following passage. Dear Peter,

I was glad to hear from you. I have heard that you have come across a lot of pain in study and life. Here I will give you some suggestions.

First, you often were misunderstood with your parents. It is common for you to meet some trouble in communicating with them, because there is generation gap existed between you. You’d better listen to them and talk with them more so they have more life experience.

Second, you want to get on well with your classmates, that is important. Maybe we could do something good for them, such as explaining your misunderstanding, help them if they are in trouble and so on. Then you will become more popular.

Chinese senior students also have the same problems and we are trying our best to handle them. I hope my advice are of great use for you. Looking forward to your early reply.
