Step I Pre-reading 1.Revision Show the pictures of the four amazing things on Page 57, ask the studets: Do you remember the amazing things? Answer questions according to the pictures. 2. Lead-in Show a picture of a ghost, and say: Look at this amazing picture, what is it? (A ghost)

How do you feel when you see it? (Afraid) Step II Listening Millie and Amy also met a ghost last Sunday. Listen to the recorder and try to find out the four elements of the story——who, when, where and what. Step III While-reading 1. Fast reading Work in groups of four: Let’s go through the story and try to divide the story into three parts and work out the main idea of each part. Step IV Post-reading 1. Interview Work in pairs to make an interview about the story, one is the reporter, the other is Andy.

2. Discussion Get the students to discuss in groups:



Are there any real ghosts in the world? 

How should we be from this lesson? Homework 1. Retell the story. 2. Try to remember all the new words and new phrases;

3. Think about the propblem that how we treat animals without homes.
