教学目标：

1.

知识与能力：学生理解并掌握单词：metre short tall 词组： 1.2 metres

句型： How tall are you ？

I am ____metres tall.

How tall is she/he? She/he is metres tall.

He/She is taller /shorter . 2. 过程与方法：1）通过皮尺实际操作量出自己与他人身高，使学生在理解并掌握目标中单词与句子的意义。

2)创设情境，利用小组合组学习的方式，注重师生互动生生互动，以培养学生口语表达能力和语言交际能力。

3.情感态度价值观：运用游戏及多种教学手段激发学生学习兴趣，培养学生大胆说英语的习惯，树立学习英语的自信心。培养学生相互帮助，团结协作的精神。

教学重点：正确询问他人身高并作出正确回答。

教学难点：词组: 1metre 1.2 metres tall

的正确表达。

教学准备：米尺，多媒体课件。

教学过程：

Step 1. Warming up 1. Greeting （师生问候，营造轻松和谐的课堂氛围，拉近师生关系）

2. Game : Simon says (point to your head /touch your knee/play badminton/walk to school…)

（动作游戏，激发学生学习兴趣，营造轻松活跃课堂气氛）

Step 2. Revision

Game : What’s missing ? (To review ：tall /short/first/second /foot/feet/) (本游戏目的是通过猜词过程激发学生学习兴趣，复习已学过的单词，为新课作铺垫) Step 3 New concepts 1. metre 1 metre 1.5 metres 1)Free talk:

When is your birthday? How old are you? Can you guess how old Iam? These numbers are your ages. Now, I’ll take a magic(施魔法) to make them small. Look carefully ! How magical（神奇）! 在两位数中间加上小数点，教授读法1.2 1.3 1.1 通过倒计时游戏练习小数的表达方法

2) Use the tape measure a desk to demonstrate： 1.2 metres

3）Practice: ask the class to measure their desks with the tape in pairs. And ask the students to say the phrases in English .

4)出示多媒体课件，学生说出下列名人及动物形象的身高：姚明2.26米

，邓亚萍1.55米

猪1.8米

小熊维尼1.5米…（The panda is one point three metres tall.）

(每组同桌相互协作量出书桌的长度并说出词组。先让学生学会利用米尺，为下一步量身高做准备。提高了学生实际造作的能力，又很好的操练了词组表达，突破难点。紧接着让学生说出他们最感兴趣的小动物们的身高再次练习，充分调动了学生的积极性又很好的巩固了所学词组。) 2、 How tall are you ？

Step 4. Practice 1. Group work : Measure one’s height

Divide the class into small groups. Ask the students to take turns measuring each other and write down the numbers , then play the dialogue in group. (小组中互量身高做记录并运用所学句型来表述。既巩固新知，又做到学以致用激发了学生学习兴趣，又锻炼了学生动手操作能力，培养了学生相互协作的团队精神。) 2. Act out

(通过表演既锻炼了学生的口语表达能力，综合运用语言的能力，又培养了学生自我表现的意识与能力。及大胆说英语的习惯和自信心)。
