Unit 6
Meet My Family(词汇课)
一、教学目标:
1、语言知识目标:
能够听、说、读farmer, cook, driver, doctor, nurse.并能介绍人物职业。
能够听、说、认读句子:What's your father’s job? My father is a doctor.并能做替换练习,在实际中运用。
2、语言技能目标:
学生通过掌握几种职业的单词和重要的句型,能准确向别人介绍自己家庭的职业。
通过游戏,复习上节课的词汇:father, mother, uncle, aunt, baby brother后,进一步引出家人的职业cook 对应uncle,nurse 对应aunt等。教会学生很多新单词、新句型的同时,根本目的在于教会学生如何向他人介绍家人的职业,训练流利的口语。
3、情感态度目标:
学生通过独立思考,相互讨论。提高自主探究、合作学习的能力;通过介绍家人及职业,提高学生实际运用语言的能力,并帮助学生培养广泛的交际合作,提高交际能力,形成良好的性格和品质。
4. 学习策略目标:
通过游戏、歌曲活跃气氛,复习旧知引出新知,各个环节通过师生互动和生生互动,激发学生的学习兴趣,任务的引入提高了学生
用英语进行交际的能力。 5. 文化意识目标:
通过学习家庭成员的称呼和职业的介绍,进行简短的对话,增进与家人间的情谊,增进师生之间与同学之间的情谊。
二、教学内容:
本课是PEP小学英语四年级上册第六单元B let’s learn。本单元的主题是“Meet My Family”
这个主题与生活实际比较贴近。本课时在A部分学习的基础上,学习职业人物称呼的单词及询问他人职业的句型和答语。
三、学情分析:
本单元的主题是“My Family”与前面第三单元“My Friends”有相似之处,教师可充分利用该单元的知识为新知识服务,循环巩固知识。本单元通过学习能够听、说、读doctor, nurse, farmer, cook等几个重点单词,掌握What’s your father’s job? My father is a doctor.等重点句型。
四、教学重、难点:
本课时的教学重点和难点是掌握farmer, doctor, driver 等词汇和B Let's learn中表达询问职业的句型What’s your father’s job? My father is …并能替换关键词进行问答。
五、主要教学步骤:
I. Lead–in 1.Game. 转盘游戏复习
A部分的词汇,为下一步介绍职业做铺垫。
(设计意图:转盘游戏既能吸引学生注意力,又能有效率的复习上一部分的词汇,不失为一个很好的导入游戏。) 2. Free talk. T: OK. Boys and girls, you did a good job.
How many people are there in the table? Who are they?
(设计意图:鼓励性评价。进一步提出问题,让学生更加集中注意力,参与到课堂活动中。)
Ss: Seven. Father, mother, sister, brother, baby brother, uncle and aunt.
T: Yes. My family has seven members. Look! (带上Amy的头饰)I am Amy now. Hi, friends. Come and meet my family. (设计意图:通过简单的对话,复习人物称呼和A let’s talk的句型。教师带上
Amy的头饰,成功的进行人称的转换,所有的对话可以转入第一、第二人称的交流,引导学生进入教师设置的情景中。)
II. Presentation 1.T: (展示Amy父亲的职业照)
This is my father. He is tall and strong. (动作提示) He works in a hospital. Guess my father is a _______. (后展示新授词汇doctor).
S1:Doctor.
T: Yes. My father is a doctor. (板书) Read after me: doctor, doctor,是医生。My father is a doctor. 生跟读,分排读,大小声读,齐读
T:What’s your father’s job?(板书并将头饰带到一名悟性高的学生头上,向他展示doctor图片) S1: My father is a doctor. T将头饰传给多名学生,提问:What’s your father’s job? Ss: My father is a doctor.
(设计意图:新授单词和句型都在情景中讲授,让孩子去理解领悟。) T: Look. This is my aunt. She also works in the hospital. She is a ____ Ss: Nurse.
T: You are so smart. My aunt is a nurse. Nurse nurse 是护士。My aunt is a nurse.(跟读,个别读,开火车读,齐读。)
(将Amy头像传给学生) T:What’s your aunt’s job? Ss: My aunt is a nurse.
2. Show a picture of Amy’s uncle. T: He is my father’s brother. Who is he? Ss: He is my uncle.
T: Yes. He is my uncle. Look. This is his photo. He is________. S1: Cook.
T: Yes. My uncle is a cook. Cook cook 是厨师。My uncle is a cook.
(跟读,个别读,开火车读,齐读。)
Then take out the photos of the grandfather. He is a farmer.
T: Friends, he is my grandfather. He works on a farm. (展示祖父母在田间劳作的照片) So he is a ______. Ss: Farmer. T: Yes, he is a farmer. Farmer, farmer 是农民。My grandpa is a farmer. (生跟读,男女生对读,分排读)
T: (展示Amy’s brother的照片)This is my brother. He is tall and strong. He likes cars. (动作提示) Guess his job.(示范开车的姿势) Ss: Driver.
T:Great. My brother is a driver.(生跟读,分排读,大小声读。)
What’s your brother’s job?
Ss: My brother is a driver.
(设计意图: 通过学生的读和教师出示相应的图片,以及提问学生相应的问题,让孩子能将单词的形义联系起来,做到词不离句,而且做到了对本课重点单词的进一步巩固。)
III. Practice
1.Listen to the tape Part B Let’s learn and follow it. Pay attention to the tone and pronunciation。
(设计意图:通过听录音,让学生跟读,使学生不仅可以纠正自身读音的不足,培养学生对英语的语感和口语水平。)
2.Game: What’re missing?
(设计意图:通过what’re missing?游戏巩固单词的学习,同时培养学生观察能力,以达到识记的目的。)
3.Survey: What’ s your father/mother/uncle/aunt/ brother…’s job?
(设计意图:创设语境让学生将所学运用到实际生活中,提高语用价值。这个活动能结合个单元的词汇,激起学生使用:what’s your father/mother…? My father/mother…is …表达欲望,提高使用度。)
Then pair work. Two students make a model, then students work in pairs. Then act it out. IV. Production 1.Can you find your new friends? 2.Let’s sing.
T:Let’s sing together for relaxing. 3.教师总结:They are helpful!
引导学生齐读本节课所学单词。
V.Homework
1.Copy the words 4 times 2.Read the words and remember them 3.Do a survey:调查下家庭成员的职业,归纳总结后,制作个扇形图表,汇报哪个职业最受欢迎,下节课分享。
(设计意图:课堂活动的延伸和拓展,具有可操作性,学生不仅要调查,还要总结,制作成图表,培养学生综合能力。)
